I am looking for some advice here. i want to build a suit but i don't know which one to build i like the mark 3 and the mark 7 but i want to build the mark 8 because it just came out. i am new to pepakura what would you recommend?. Thanks and the renderings look really good.

Thanks, I'm glad you like my work. Personally, I would go with the new MK VIII because there aren't many builds of the suit yet and I'm really taken with the design. I'm looking at doing the armor sometime in the near future.

Thanks guys, I promise they will be highly detailed and as accurate as possible. I've been working on my 3D modeling skills lately, so I hope to take my work up a notch.

Hey fierfek how're the mkviii files coming along?
Im on the bondo stage of the build and it's looking really good!
I have to say that you did a remarkable job modeling, it makes the filler stage alot easier.
When the bondo is finished im taking the released images of the IM3 suit to lowes and having the paint accurately matched. I have access to a proffesional auto paint booth so I'm really excited to start on that! As You know, I want the suit to be as close to the movie as possible. I'll be posting pics soon!

The rest of the armor is coming along well in spite of some minor setbacks caused by the storm and some damage to my primary system by a virus. I'm trying to make these files as detailed and accurate as possible. So, I'll post some pictures soon.
3DS Max is my program of choice. In my opinion it lends itself well to straight forward digital sculpting and provides a fair range of versatility along with a simple UI that can be well suited to any workflow.
Not yet, I will let everyone know when everything is ready. I can assure you that it will definitely be worth the wait though.
