Game Fallout Iconic 10 mm Pistol

Indeed, drinking a liter of pure water is difficult. They say too much is bad for the kidney. I love to drink some isotonic water and a Kari Kari Umeboshi. (Salty prum pickle) :)

Today, I built these parts.

I'm not an expert on the gun but I guess it is some bolt-locking system (A mechanism that prevents the bolt from opening until the pressure inside the gun barrel drops to a safe level) because there is no tilt-locking lug on the barrel like the Colt 45 automatic. It is just another fictional gun in a game that doesn't exist but Fallout is the American game. Some experts of the gun might designed these. So these parts might have some meaning. Also, I guess this gun might be gas-operated because I see a gas port in the barrel near the muzzle. It is fun for me to imagine those those.
If anyone has any comments, please let me know.

It could also be an overly-complicated dust cover, similar to those in an M249 or FN FNC, it would be in line with the screws on the slide.

Although I do like your idea of a slide lock too. It also could be some sort of a rate reducing mechanism.

The hammer was fixed with a small coil spring, and the dummy trigger was fixed. Put the coil spring in a receiver assy- that was a complicated work - and connected the barrel assy. and the receiver assy.

I gave up the linking trigger and hammer mechanisms.
Honestly, I forgot to leave the space for them in a grip part. :p

The rest of the work is to make some parts like the slide stop lever and so on.
That's the easy part.
I have to think about the magazine and bullet.

A paint job.

It took hours more than I thought to build some small parts but they were done and went to a paint job. Usually, a silver dry brush is used to create a weathering effect. But I tried the other way.

Primer applied.

At first, spray metal color all over.

It looks like a chrome-plated finish.

And then, splayed a black steel paint.

I polished it with 3M ultra-fine and micro-fine.

Carefully polished until the silver paint below is vaguely seen and ran 3M to leave a very smooth hairline on the surface.

The next things to do are make a checker on the grip and paint it. Then make a Magazine. That will be it.
