Ghostbusters Proton Pack Conversion for my Daughter

I thought I'd share this build that I am currently working on for my daughter. I started out by purchasing a vintage 80's Kenner proton pack:-

I removed the stickers and sanded the pack down to get rid of some of the scratches it has got over the years and added a light coat of primer, I then cut out holes for the cyclotron lights and added some rings where the lights will be.

After that I have begun working on the alice frame which I have made from PVC piping:-

I will be continuing the build over the next two weeks while I'm waiting for some items to arrive from Ebay and other places to complete the pack.

Dan.

Thanks guys!

On a side note does anyone have any ideas about a cheap lighting solution for the rotating cyclotron lights?

How about a flashing rear bicycle led light. Some of them have adjustable flash speed. Cant wait to see it complete.

Or something like ebay item number 19182494395

I did think of that, I'm really looking for the lights to rotate in sequence rather than just random flashing. I know you can buy lighting kits but they tend to be expensive.

I'm thinking of buying four cheap LED torches so I con mount the reflector and LED in the cylotron, I'm not sure how I would rig up a flashing circuit though.

I thought I'd give a small update of my progress, some of the tubing has arrived so I have now tested the fitting and placement prior to painting the pack and thrower:-
