Go for the puffy paint (first Spider-Man suit)?

Hello all, I'm contemplating purchasing a Spider-Man suit from RPC studios in the near future. This will be my first Spider-Man suit (and I plan wearing it over top a Flex Design lean muscle suit). I am just wondering if you would recommend shelling out the extra money for RPC studios to do the puffy paint work on the costume? Do you like it? Does it really look that much better? Thanks all!

This is an example of a spidey suit with no puffy paint, just a well designed dye sub pattern (no idea who designed it, nor who is wearing it, got it off Google):

And here's a close up of what one looks with puffy paint:

Unless you want something as close to screen used accuracy as possible, I am of the opinion that you do not need the puffy paint. Most dye sub designs have enough shading detail that you are going to look great no matter what. Frankly, I've never deemed it necessary, especially because more of then than not, I see it falling off people's suits in high-motion zones (shoulders, elbows, most joints, etc.).

IMO, I think puff paint adds a nice dimension and feel to the suit, especially if you are doing a TASM1 suit. Puff painting each of the hexagons in the blue and red portions of the suit really gives it a "rubberized" feel. Even with the TASM2 suit, puff painting the blue rectangles again gives it a distinct and unique look. As for the puff painting falling off, it'll crack over time, but you can always fix that with new puff paint lines.

You can also consider their new RPC paint TASM2 suit they have. Thats the one im saving up for. Its printed on color fabric vs white and has the texture "printed" on somehow. Think its like the same price as a puff painted one.

Is this currently listed on the site? I'd like to see it. Also thanks to everyone for the replies, the insight is well appreciated!

Puff painting definitely adds an awesome dimension to it. However it is something you can do yourself. I'm currently waiting on my suit. 14 weeks now and they won't answer any of my Facebook messages... Kinda worrying
