Guyver 1/4 ish bust

Got another update.

Just finished sculpting the spine and meaty gut bits that's going to hang under the guyver sculpt.

Just waiting for some silicone to mold this bit and then it'll be finished and I’ll post picture of it all together.

This is the first time I’ve used chavant, great stuff!!

Here’s the spine pics.

Cheers

Pete

I'm going offer copies of this kit in the Junkyard. This was the first cast out and has a couple of airbubbles in the resin. I've been tinkering with it though and have now sorted the casting so there shouldn't be many, if any, airbubbles on new casts.

I added clear resin eyes so that it can be light internally if wanted. but the existing eyes on the cast need to be drilled out to insert them.

Let me know what you think

Fantastic work!

I'd also like to see your interpretations of of Guyver II/III.

Any plans for a 1/4 scale statue?

Thanks guys!!!

Can't believe how fast time seems to fly by these days!! Still, i managed to get it finished before 2010!!

I don't have any plans for more Guyver sculps at the moment, wouldn't mind trying Giger's Alien next!!

I've just got to finish the picture art for the kit, then i'll put it in the Junkyard!

:cry :cry :cry :cry

We need a 1/4 scale Guyver statue. There hasn't been one produced and I doubt we'll ever see a license product in the near future.

That is awesome! I can't paint worth a crud but I may have to commission someone to build/paint one up for me depending on prices. Again great work

Thanks again guys!!

And thanks for those links DVDVampire, i hadn't seen them before.

I've just put it up for sale in the Junkyard with prices for P&P etc.

Hey,
That is awesome work, really dig it!! A few questions if I may?
1. What kinda clay? What works best and hold detail well?
2. How do you make the skin texture? Just learning new ways to sculpt and skin is tough...any hints or tips?
Thanx,
GZ

Thanks guys, glad you like it!!

GlennZig - Its sculpted in Supersculpy with some dark fimo added to make it easier to see details when sculpting. Main details were acheived by pressing a pointed tool into the surface about a million times:wacko!!! Then i brushed some Isopropanol fluid over the sculpt to even out the textures.

Cheers

Pete
