Halo Red Plasma Rifle

This is a quick prop for Christmas...a friend's boy loves this particular halo weapon. I have about a dozen things working- but I told him I could get something put together. I suspect it will be broken quickly, but that's ok.
It's made from pink insulation foam and coated with resin...I still need to attach the "wings". Accurate, no...fun for a little boy? Sure.

Cool! a couple of questions if you wouldn't mind.what do you put on the foam before the resin.and doesn't that type of foam have fiberglass in It?
Itchy scratchy fiber glass....

Sean- great question. The pink foam insulation doesn't have any fiberglass as far as I know...not itchy at all. You could use blue instead...similar stuff. As for coating- I usually use a heavy primer, and then the stuff I used (Styrospray 1000) has it's own primer. It's not really meant for smaller stuff like this- as it builds a heavy coat...but as I said- accuracy wasn't my goal.
