[Help] Scarlet Spider Suit, Painting and Crafting Help

Hey guys, this is my first time working on any sort of cospay and i’ve been doing tons of research on what to do. But I can’t find any sort of tip/trick on how to paint the legs for the above image... i’m talking about the black part above the knee, anybody got any ideas on what to do to achieve that pattern? or any sort of material I can use to get the same result? Thanks guys!
