Horus from Stargate

Another fun creation for the wall
This is also wearable. Made of foam. I love listening to soundtracks of things I’m working on. This isn’t an exact replica and I took lots of liberty, but I love it.

Thank you so much!!

I’ve always loved Stargate and to have something like this satisfies my inner child.

The head of Horus has a magnet embedded in the rear side and the neck(stump) has one as well. So it can easily be posed in different positions. I thought about installing a motor for automation but chose manual for now. It’s my intention to make a second version, someday, and make it fully automated with movement, lighting and sound. He’s in my workshop and I would love to have a motion detector built in so when somebody walked in the door, the eyes should light up and his head would turn to look at the visitor

They eyes are made of plexiglass. I heated the glass until it softened, then formed them with the handle of a screw driver. I then painted them.

The mask itself is very light . The challenge was to make it look as close to oxidized metal, as possible.

It’s amazing how foam takes on depth with shading, layers and dry brush.

Lots of pictures!

Very cool indeed.
I believe there are several builds on the forum for this mask, servo information included that you could use.
In any case: I wish you luck and enjoyment with this project.
