The one that I have? I don't think that it was ever used. It sounds like a good idea that the Psi Cops used them, but I think that they used the same one as the crew. After all, they both came from earth.

Cruiser is right, the "square" link that is in your picture on the right was never used on the show. It is a fan made version, sorry, I don't know who made it, but it is clearly a fan made version, made before there was any good reference shots of the link. Like the fan made versions of the PPG that are still out there floating around, the first versions are not accurate due to the lack of reference material available when they were made.
Also, for the record, all agencies from Earth, including the Psi-corp used the same style links, until Crusade. At that point both the standard links worn on the back of the hand, and the wrist links were worn.

It's not hard to make a circuit that makes a chirp, no special chip needed.
