Thanks for the kind words, mates! This took about 6 months to create. I'm just glad it's to the point it is now. Whew, a lot of work! After Halloween it will have a nice addition of an exhaust packet to blow smoke from the thrusters and some of the pieces will get an upgrade. Also, thanks to those of you who have voted for dear ole Iron Man over at www.marvel.com. Thank you.
That's an awesome Iron Man! You're not a big fan, and still you did THAT??!!
I'd love to see a project that you're excited about! Your brother's one lucky guy!
The costume got an upgrade...the feet, helmet and paint job are all new. The lights in the eyes, hands and chest all work. Entire costume was thermoformed. Hope you enjoy:
This pic illustrates how tall the costume makes the wearer:
Feet are anchored in the shins of the legs.
Thanks for the kind words. I began work on an exhaust system for the costume as well. Smoke will blow out through the thrusters....similar to my Fett jetpack.
Very nice! This may sound funny, but I really like how the armor is smaller in some places (like the thighs and upper arms)- really makes it seem less "clunky" and more realistic. thumbsup
Mine is still away off from being complete, and I wont be that tall. I am coming in at around 6-3 - 6-4.
Note mine is not painted, just primered. Note like yours every where you see the body suit it will be covered in armor / fiberglas or ruber componets. Suit color will be very close to the body suit red you see.
Again Dude that suit is incredible, you did a tremendous job ! Hats off thumbsup
