Iron Man mk-IV

Some of the parts that look like metal are actually RUBBER? Wow! I would love to see some higher res pics of this to see some of the detail better! Nicely done!

The suit looks great! For some reason the pictures make it look almost like an action figure to me.

Ahahaha! you're not the first to say that. When he first got the pictures when he first launched this costume that was everybody's comment.:lol

Some even said that they will steal him and put him in a shelf for their collections and as display. :lol nyahaha.

Sometimes we joke that he's scared to go to conventions because he hears people wanting to take him home. And I say "over my drop-dead gorgeous body!" :lol (just joking on the drop-dead gorgeous thingie). just over my dead body. HA-HA-HA!

Man, I'd love to know the process behind creating the ab section...that's a great looking stomach (And I'm not talking about on Black Widow, though hers is nice too).

That looks great, I especially love how the colors really pop!

Any chance we could get you to post some progress shots on the Mrk VI? And do you buy the rubber in those colors or do you paint them?

hahaha. thanks Nick. we'll try to do a tutorial for you guys. but i will have to apologize now becaue it may take a while as I have no free time much due to work. we are currently doing a mk VI now so maybe i can catch up with the pics & if lucky enough do short video clips of it. I already told my partner about the inquiries here and we greatly appreciate that people appreciate the costumes that we made. :love

i know a lot of people are curios about the abs so we'll work a tutorial on it. ;)

hello dark knight i am captain america. LOL (our avatars). yes, we're working on teh mk VI. will try to post updates/pics/vid clips if possible teh soonest possible time. :angel

the rubbers? it's available in many colors but we normally use black especially for dark colored costumes. all our costumes are painted unless it can pass off without paint like the captain america shield I am holding in my avatar. That isn't painted.

sometimes, a good paint job really adds up to the character of teh costume you are making. people normallythink that my partner's ironman costume is some kind of plastic or fiberglass but it's actually just rubber with a very expensive paint job. LOL.

we believe that one should really spend if they want outcomes to come out well. right? think quality. :)

ALL the parts are made of rubber. :D i will try to look for high res pics for you. :D

here's the joke: IRONman is made out of Rubber. HA-HA-HA!:lol (robert is gonna kill me. hahaha!):angel

Wow that is rubber!?
I really like the range of motion apparent from the posing. It'd be really cool to integrate some rubber pieces like this for comfort and flexibility along with fett's plastic tutorial. I've got to say building an iron man suit is seeming more obtainable every day.

the helmets look really wide, but still looks goods. Are you planing to redo or modify it?

not really. it's proportional to his body. it's the camera angles also. but it's just a prototype. we may have to adjust a bit. :) working on it already. ;)

oh ok :D prototypes are fun, since you can see what need to be upgraded later on for costuming. I know i can never leave good enough alone, and i tinker too much.... Anyways good job on your friends armor.

Cheers :cheers

yup. good enough is not enough. have to be accurate & precise. but of course going over the top unecessarily is outrageous too. because it only means you're not following the model anymore but instead "modifying" it. if that's the case then people should be informed that the costume they are looking at is already the "modified version".

thanks for dropping by our thread. :cool
