is this realy an original screen used saber?

It looks real to me...
Especially being the one shot from R2. (emitter is correct)
It has the look of, yeah, that's a real one...

However, the one shown in the case, is Not the one on the table in later shots...that one looks like the R2 saber...

The one in the case is machined metal, the one on the table, with the icepick or whatever is resin...

I believe the cased ones are the machined "trick" sabers that they have that were used for the deleted saber creation scene. I think he listed those photos to show what the custom case will look like.

the picture of the saber in the case has a tag that says:

Original Lightsaber Made By NoRank Eng.Co.LTD

and under that, where he stamped "Secret" on the well lit image is says
"This is the Actual Hero Lightsaber..." The rest is too blurry to read
(look at the blue image and zoom)

I always thought that saber had a graflex clamp instead of a control box...

gotta dig for pics later

The two ROTJ stunts with Graflex clamps are leftover ANH Kenobi stunts.
Norank obviously based their ROTJ design on those.
The auction one is cast from the ROTJ Hero. The ROTJ Hero and another casting of it have gone on exhibit with Magic of Myth and other displays. The other ROTJ stunt casting that LFL has still has the emitter nub. I'm guessing this stunt probably had the nub cut off so the door on R2's dome could close over it.

ORIGINAL LIGHTSABER HANDLE MADE BY

"NORANK Eng. Co. Ltd."

WHO WERE THE RESIDENT STUDIO WORKMEN
AT ELSTREE FILM STUDIOS ENGLAND

THIS IS THE ACTUAL "HERO" LIGHTSABER HELD BY MARK HAMILL AS "LUKE SKYWALKER", COMPLETE WITH SLIDING CONTROL (unreadable) ON THE CONTROL BOX

For the record, the ROTJ Sail Barge scenes were not filmed in Yuma, Arizona but in Buttercup Valley, California about 20 minutes away from Yuma.

So . . .then he has no sense of Yuma?? (huma?? get it....)
budum bump ching..
Seriously, I 'm looking hard at that auction and agree it's very likely the real deal . . .awfully cheap though . . .hmmm

awfully cheap...with 9 days to go. 215 hours and 50 minutes will be boring bids here and there...Its the last 10 minutes that are gonna rock.

WE have just taken out more of a loan to allow us to get the work completed on our house, i wonder if my other half will notice a couple of grand missing out of the bank :confused

If that is a casting of the original metal hero, then i have a casting of the hero, the grooves match exactly.

Unfortunately people generally feel that they can break that rule at will, and once its done its too late. All too often board members post live auctions of screen used prop because they are too lazy to do their own research to find out if its authentic. I wonder what this might have gone for if the whole board had not been alerted to its presence. :unsure

Aside from this board, this auction has been discussed elsewhere. I don't think outing this auction here is going to affect the bidding. The price will go high, but not incredibly high as despite this coming from Elstree, there are still some question marks, and ultimately eBay is not the place to go to get crazy money, Profiles would have fetched multiple times what this does on ebay.
