I except nothing less from Starkiller. His eye for detail is incredible. Still a little disappointed it's going to be a static run instead of FX but it's still insanely beautiful and cool with all the quirksI saw some stuff in person, it’s pretty intense…
And I will say this, not because Starkiller is a close friend.. but because he has captured every little detail and in-accuracy..
The original was hand made with crazy inconsistencies… he nailed it all…
I'm really interested in this. Most of the Dookus available are based on MR
Correct me if I'm wrong but it's this one I'm asking about I'm not sure if it's metal I've seen 2 that look metal but I could be completely wrong this is the one I believe is metal with the anodised (maybe) triggerTravisT
So far as anyone currently knows, the only metal Dooku hero prop was made for AotC and all subsequent hilts made after, even for RotS, were cast from that. It's unknown where the whereabouts of it is now but the hero hilt was left with Christopher Lee after the movie wrapped and he kept it in a bank box before he passed.
Yeah you could be right with the first photo being the AOTC because it's with the Ani but it's a hard tell you can barely see the "knuckle" but after frying my brain more I do see it's a acrylic trigger as I can see through it. The pommel just looks very aluminium or dull and had me curious what version that one is exactly.TravisT The first photo may be the metal Hero (it's also paired with the Anakin AotC hero, here), but as far as I know, the trigger has always been acrylic.
The later photos you post are of the RotS casts. A good rule of thumb is that if the hilt is all chrome, it's a plated cast. The AotC Hero has distinct variations on finish on the segment parts that give away that it was metal.
