It is clear that this contest cannot be decided by our knowledge of the force.... But....

How's this coming along? This is a project that's super exciting for me! Is this the next saber run after Ahsoka?

I saw some stuff in person, it’s pretty intense…

And I will say this, not because Starkiller is a close friend.. but because he has captured every little detail and in-accuracy..

The original was hand made with crazy inconsistencies… he nailed it all…

I except nothing less from Starkiller. His eye for detail is incredible. Still a little disappointed it's going to be a static run instead of FX but it's still insanely beautiful and cool with all the quirks

Any news on this run? And just wondering since this may be a good place to ask if anyone has any photos of the Metal ROTS saber? If I am correct I believe it's the one with the anodised red button as opposed to acrylic but correct me if I'm wrong just really trying to find more on the metal ROTS version

So far as anyone currently knows, the only metal Dooku hero prop was made for AotC and all subsequent hilts made after, even for RotS, were cast from that. It's unknown where the whereabouts of it is now but the hero hilt was left with Christopher Lee after the movie wrapped and he kept it in a bank box before he passed.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it's this one I'm asking about I'm not sure if it's metal I've seen 2 that look metal but I could be completely wrong this is the one I believe is metal with the anodised (maybe) trigger

Then also this one which looks abit metal I'm not sure if this is the propstore version but it appears to look metal (to me) and have the acrylic trigger (also not sure if the final photo is of the same saber of the acrylic trigger or could again be the propstore or all the same) I know there is also another ROTS version with the different type grips with a blue/purple shade as opposed to black.

TravisT The first photo may be the metal Hero (it's also paired with the Anakin AotC hero, here), but as far as I know, the trigger has always been acrylic.

The later photos you post are of the RotS casts. A good rule of thumb is that if the hilt is all chrome, it's a plated cast. The AotC Hero has distinct variations on finish on the segment parts that give away that it was metal.

Yeah you could be right with the first photo being the AOTC because it's with the Ani but it's a hard tell you can barely see the "knuckle" but after frying my brain more I do see it's a acrylic trigger as I can see through it. The pommel just looks very aluminium or dull and had me curious what version that one is exactly.

I've just bought one of the ECO Dookus from one Replicas and was curious on his reference and which version he roughly based his on etc I know it's not accurate accurate, needs some work. It's missing the line on the knuckles bottom but some barely have the line due to plating and the knuckle is MRish and has some odd angles on the pommel L Shaped bit on the back but couldn't complain from the price just thought maybe since the plating on this Dooku is abit iffy to knock it back to the aluminium cause I thought there was a aluminium RotS out there those second photos had me thinking polished aluminium but behind glass panels etc yeah I don't know just frying myself on this Dooku how to "dress it/mod it" while waiting for AS to come out with his

Just the look of this photo particularly on the second bunch made me think its somewhat metal but again glass panel and lighting etc just not sure if this is one of the ones sold from the propstore as the grips were warped and junky on that but years of aging etc I don't know plus it makes me think Fransisco went with this version based on the line not being present on the bottom of the knuckle but the finish just made me assume metal when looking at the obi pommel next to it aswell but im just a fan with eyes that can be eluded like all of us ahah

IMHO aswell I don't believe the first photo to be AOTC hero judging from the first photos posted in this thread the AOTC hero doesn't have segment's of shine at least I don't see that on the images pommel looks shiny everything looks consistent but in the photo with the Ani AOTC it's Dull Pommel And dull section on the on the 7 channel part then back to shiny on the Emitter. If someone has any more photo from that exhibit or of that hilt where it looks to be inconsistent shine I'd appreciate it cause it's got me very curious I believe it is not the AOTC just because it's displayed with ANI

Apologies for the words dodgiest comparison of the inconsistent shine

Could also be anyone's guess aswell as the photos constanly shift as this appears to be from the same exhibition the sabers appear to be displayed in the same positions the Ani etc but it's looks so glaring and shiny In this image so but also carpets appear the same across images so has me thinking same exhibition same saber just different lightings etc just need more photos from a better position on the inconsistent finish I've got the great ones on the Ani Dewy posted a while ago but struck with finding better ones for the dooku especially seeing the dooku that's positioned the other way which would be in another display cabinet at the same Exhibit (which could be a chromed Prop Store Auction version) but my brain also sees similar carpet in the background aha I love all this stuff
