Hey everyone.Im currently finishing up this 1/14 scale model of the Orca from Jaws.Ive taken alot of care in trying to get all the details correct, right down to the tiny knobs on items such as the galley lamp,etc..I also dod ALOT of research,so I could get the boat itself as accurate as possible. When completed,it will feature a 1/14 scale Quint figure (sculpted by my friend Palmer),as shown in pics.Ill post up WIP pics I get closer to completing it

That Qunit sculpt is excellent. Love the boat too. Looking forward to seeing how it all comes out.

I love that the boat is made of wood!
Really well done.

Curious how you chose 1/14th scale? A bit off the beaten path.

Thanks! I settled on 1/14 because it was the largest I could build and still be bale to ship via USPS,without crating it.Heres a few more WIP pics of the Orca

This... is amazing. Tell your friend Palmer he rocks. Don't get me wrong this whole thing is fantastic, but that sculpt is something else. Jaws in all honour, but without Quint that movie would be missing it's soul.

You should have built a bigger boat!
J.K.
It's actually the perfect size. Can't wait to see the more build pics. I've been wanting to do this myself. Is it going to be RC at all?

lol..Someday Im gonna do a 1:12 scale to keep for myself. But this is about the biggest I could sell and ship comfortably..Not RC for this guy.Just static...BTW:Does anyone want to own a perfect replica of a production used Jaws barrel? The originals are all sold, but a guy I know on Facebook molded his original and is selling castings.Check out this thread for info and link

About a year ago someone was selling resin copies of Quint in 1/6 scale.
Yeah theres been some 1'6 scale figures out there for a few years. In fact I did a diorama using all 3 of them a few years ago.Im hoping to get Palmer to make the other cast, maybe in 1/12 scale
