Jaws Quints Harpoon gun

Waiting for some better card stock to arrive for the outer jacket. But they turned out ok.

I see you used the 9mm shell casings and not .38 special.

The latter are quite easily found in the states, and, I had pounds of them in the past but I think I sold them off a while back with a bunch of other firearm related junk.

But, just wanted to point it out as you value the details as I do, and it's an easy fix.

My press is gone too, or I'd happily prime a few hundred cases for you, so you don't have the pin striker mark on the primers...

It’s starting to come alive.

You don’t ever see them they where just blanks I had laying around from casino royal. I thought it was funny to mix James Bond and Quint

I keep coming back to that font, it's been bugging me. After a bit of a deep dive I've got some more info.

Garamond 3 originates from the early 1900's so it's a go.

Rather than Sarabande (from the 2000's), Monotype Garamond Italic (from 1923) is a much better fit.

As per my last post, the same fonts are on the interior along with Times (from the 1930's).

I'm much more satisfied with this recommendation. :)

I’m out of my depth when it comes to fonts.

Well, being 'murican we're all born with guns next to our baby rattles... (actually my dad was a firearms instructor and game warden)

The blueing will show wear (plus scratches, dents and corrosion, particularly when on the water) but 99% of gun owners do not remove the screws, so the slots are typically pristine. And any decent gunsmith will also have perfectly manicured drivers to avoid damaging screws.

I get the use/ageing thing but that's a detail I thought I should point out because I know you appreciate the tiny details. And backing it up with the "why" as well.

Its a myth that the UK doesn’t have guns. It’s says on the side of this made in Birmingham England, my dad was a police man. We used to play around the gun range as kids. There are 2 gun shops within 5 miles of my house.
This is a martini action designed to be taken apart with ease by soldiers in any environment. From the bore war onwards. Most off the reference pic I’ve got there in terrible condition. This one needs aging too.

The black screw is from a later model, this one is one of the guns rented to the jaws production.

For all those that are triggered DCN  View attachment 1874694
I don’t know if the martini tool would have been in the box as you don’t see it , first ever leather man. I don’t think I will tackle making it.

ROTFLMFAO!!! Love it!!!!! What did Roy Rogers do after Trigger passed away? He opened a Fast Food Chain. True Story. Add the toothbrush, That was a cool addition in the prop case you posted. Almost looks like a wire brush instead of a toothbrush, or it's just dirty from cleaning the gun.

Made the little brass holder as nothing I could find on line matched. Then the spring steel clip that holds the forks in ,that only leaves the threading of the barrel, still waiting for the aluminium to adapt my CNC for that. Made a pile of rope on the jig.
