Kick-Ass buy or rent?

Rent it (I actually did just that at Redbox yesterday).

Like others have said, you can always buy it later!

I enjoyed it but I didn't like some of the differences in from the comic (which I had read long before I saw the film)

GOD I'm sick of nit picking. The entire ****ing movie is based off of a comic that is a parody of ****ing comics. People honestly look like complete idiots for being "disappointed" or "let down" by a movie made of a comic, that is a parody of source material that's a ridiculously improbable and impractical alternative to crime fighting. Seriously....If you can't appreciate every second of this scene then you have more problems than I care to discuss.

SPOILERS GALORE!!!! But it's awesome.

God..... some of yall take yourselves soooooo seriously it's borderline narcissism.

End rant.

Quite opposite. Hit Girl stole the show and was far from annoying.

Never saw the film and risked on the word of some friends and many reviews that swore by it saying it was awesome. Bought it on Blu-Ray and we watched last night.... one of my favorite comic book films to-date.

Kick-Ass ruled. BUY IT!

Rent it to see if you like it like others have said. Personally, I thought the movie was fantastic, though the end reminded me of some stuff in Robocop 3.:sick

I'll be buying it (when it's out over here!)

I didn't think I would, but I seriously loved the film. Vegeta's analysis was pretty much spot on.

I never rent stuff, as I find it too expensive for what you get. (Unless you have some sort of Netflix/LoveFilm account)...I would say buy it, worse case scenario...you can always sell it, if you don't like it!

:thumbsup Great movie, a definate buy. Hit girl is awesome. Thats one talented 10 year old.

I knew that I had to see the movie when I read that to prepare for the part of Hit Girl, they had Chloe Moretz train with a gymnast, the stunt crew from "300", Jackie Chan's stunt crew, and the Ringling Bros. and Barnum Bailey Clown College!

David.

Buy it just to listen to the play on the Good the Bad and the Ugly score during the climax.

Here's what I do: I rent. If I really liked it, I wait until I can get it for like five bucks on Amazon or ebay. I would never pay 20 bucks for a movie, since I'd never re-watch it enough to justify, except for some very rare instances. But a rental plus a five buck disc is about 8 dollars, and if I watch it twice, at 5 bucks it's paid for itself.

Yes, I am that cheap.

And that would be my one "complaint" about the film--it seems the filmmakers didn't know whether to make it a comedy, a parody, or an action film, so they tried to include a little of each and came up short on all counts; I've never read the comics, so I can't say whether or not the film was a faithful adaptation. That said, I enjoyed it for what it was but felt it could have been better. On the plus side, it was nice to see Nicolas Cage act for a change; he hasn't done that since Bringing Out The Dead 11 years ago.

Back to the topic, I'm in the "rent it, then buy it if you like it" crowd.

The comics weren't finished by the time the script was, so some things are different.

Rent it. I never read the comic. The film was fun enough once, Hit Girl steals it, but the previously posted complaints are quite valid.

rent it and then wait for the "special edition" release later that actually has some special features.
