K'T'INGA KLINGON BATTLECRUISER

OK, with the Bridge and the Aft section done, the K'tinga battlecruiser is finished...much more complex and organic than I thought at the outset, but a really characterful ship and a pleasure to model.

Here's some final renders;

Update; so it would appear that the member Droidr4i9 that contacted me and commissioned me to model this ship has basically ghosted me! He is not replying to my messages, asking for the matter to be settled, now that the 3 months of modelling is finished. Unbelievable really!
Probably his plan is to wait for me to upload the model to Etsy and just buy it for the basic price. If you are interested in purchasing these files, please message me directly.
Obviously I hope I'm wrong and there is a perfectly reasonable explanation...

Uggg.... sorry. This has happened to me twice now with people wanting to purchase koolshade from me.

Perhaps you'd make more money just putting that up on your Etsy site anyway?

Geek1138,
Some times commissioning folks can be a risk to the artist and sometimes not. My kit part supplier has been reliably helping me for nearly 5 years AFTER the payment deal. I trust your issue will tun out to have a good ending. If not, best of luck in litigation against the potential thief.

Your research & craftsmanship is outstanding. Your product is worth every penny.

Ugh! That's awful.

Very sorry to hear about your being ghosted. Hope you can make your time back in other ways--that's excellent work.

I've always loved the K'T'Inga.

Curious how you're using Z-Brush (I'm a Blender user too). Is that how you're sculpting the plates and other surface features that appear stamped on the hull? I'm very surprised to learn you can use Z-Brush that way, I always thought it was just for organic sculpting.

I would just finish the model.
Then divide the price into 2, 4 or 6, and sell exclusively to 2, 4 or 6 of us :)

Ok thanks guys...I have decided to upload the model to Etsy anyway, so there it is. https://imperialprinthub.etsy.com/listing/1899083711

Hi Asalaw...no, I mainly use Zbrush for Dynamesh/Zremesher functions to re-topologize stuff, as well as tweaking shapes, but as u say, it's too organic for hard surface modelling. The features 'stamped' onto the hull, are done with the Boolean modifier

These files are outstanding! I have been printing out two models now for the past five days - a studio scale, and one smaller at 1/537 scale. The studio scale is primarily in ABS with a few details in resin, while the 1/537 scale is almost an equal amount of resin and ABS. I am amused with Bambu Studio warning me of the mesh density of certain parts (over 1M triangles!) and wanting me to simplify them. I just ignore it. :)

The ladle portion of the head itself took over 25 hours to print at studio scale, using a 0.8mm layer height with a 4mm nozzle on my P1S. I have also printed the flat decks on the head and the bridge and dome, as well as the neck pieces, and now printing engine pylons and the impulse deck/shuttlecraft hangar. I am currently working on splitting up the engine nacelles now into parts to prepare for printing while saving the main hull/wing section for last.

I was amazed how well the fine details were reproduced on the bridge dome, but will most likely reprint it with a 0.2mm nozzle for even better detail and less aliasing, and less sanding.

Thanks to Graham for his phenomenal modeling skills and making these available!
