Lets see your Marty McFly costumes!

Q Is For K12 is the JC Penny shirt vintage? I've been looking for one for ages.

dr_slurpee that skateboard is amazing!
No, I did look around, but I couldn’t find the original version, nor the original colors as they don’t sell them anymore. This is a basic red St. John’s Bay shirt I literally picked up at the store the day I came there. The cut feels right though, as its not too loose around the neck, and the fabric is SOO comfortable.

My Halloween costume from 2020. Was on a semi-budget so not 100% screen accurate, but still reasonably proud of it.

WAIT. We've talked before but did you mod the Diamond cap so the lenticular is underneath it too? Cause if so, I'm impressed. VERY impressed with the whole thing tbh. If I didn't already have my jacket I might've run to you to see what you can do! Although I got mine for $160 so I can't complain lol, half the budget of mine went to my Nike Mag replicas lol

Also nice job with the photoshop on the BTTF2 picture remake! But on the other shot, are you actually on the Universal Pictures backlot tour?

Can... Can I take photos there too?!

A quick update from myself, I got an original Guess two-tone jacket for quite a deal recently, and the proper Guess 1050s came soon after. Just under a week ago I then found this, while not a replica, perfectly suitable cosplay version of Marty's outer shirt and my entire outfit has come together. Not the most accurate, but considering it's an original 80's Guess Jacket and the near screen accurate pants, I'm happy with the results!

The jacket looks GREAT. Do you have pics of the inside?
Thank you! :)
Do you know the original inside of the jacket? This is black folded fabric and when you pull it apart you can see colorful patterns.
We solved it so that it was black fabric with these fine colored lines. As you can see in picture 7.

Yes I've modded the Diamond cap with lenticular on the bottom.
But now I use the more accurate cap from Magnoli Clothiers. The difference is that it is completely closed at the back.

I'm afraid my jacket has cost more in terms of material alone. Not to mention the many hours of work. That's a good price!
What Nike Mags do you have?

We've been on the Universal Pictures backlot tour with many other Back to the Future fans at two events:

One was held on the epic 21st october 2015. And was organized by www.weregoingback.com
And the other event was in 2019 organzied by great fans Kevin and Tania from Citizens of Hill Valley.

It's not a matter of course that you can get off there and taking pictures. This was organized for our group.

On our website we have reports of this and other events: www.WhoYaGonnaCall.de

This is my 1985 marty cosplay. Here’s a breakdown of the costume.

  • Headgoonie jacket (2015 run)
  • Trailwise vest
  • Shah safari 30th anniversary shirt
  • Cardinal red gildan T-shirt
  • Guess Georges Marciano acid washed jeans model 1050
  • Nike court majestic shoes
  • 3/4 inch suspenders from Amazon
  • Gray socks from Amazon
  • Casio Ca-53W watch
  • Aiwa HS-P02MKII Cassette player
  • Aiwa HP-M15 headphones (I also have a pair of replica headphones I use when I cosplay).
  • Art in Revolution pin from ebay

These jeans may not be 100% screen accurate but they really do look like Marty's jeans in terms of overall color wash, cut, and fit. and they're on sale right now for anyone that can't find a vintage pair in their size or would just rather buy new denim. You definitely want the "Medium wash" color: Scotch Harold Skinny Jeans | GUESS

It's not 100% movie accurate, but I'm ready to meet Christopher Lloyd for my DeLorean photo op in May at Motor City Comic Con! Then it's going to NYC with me in July to take in a showing of the musical on Broadway!

I attempted to recreate this promo photo with my dog Lenny. He actually responds to “Einy” though, that’s what I call him when in costume. I even found the exact vintage Citizen brand Stopwatch for him too which is quite rare.
