Lighters to collect that were used in movies

I watched Key Largo (1948) and Bogie whipped out a lighter around 20 minutes in to lite a cigarette for the 100+ year old Native American Indian lady, despite using a match earlier. It appears to be a flat Zippo (silver?), but it seems to have some vertical lines on it.

Not to dig up old parts of this post from a couple years ago, but I watched Key Largo yesterday and found the scene described here...
The lighter in question is a "Park Sherman", shown here:

I found one for sale with same pattern, but it's in poor condition, unfortunately. But it's something to keep an eye out for.

I went ahead and purchased the scratched one. I might be able to sand it down to get rid of the scratches, etc, but if it's chromed, it'd need rechromed (there are places that'll do that for you while wheels are being done, etc. It might be something new to try. I just doubt another better one will show up any time soon).

I repainted the Ronson "Chips" Lighter (1936) to the original Red/Green/Blue scheme. It might need some tiny touchup bits still (more obvious to the camera).

VonMagnum,
Since this thread is about lighters used in movies, I take it you have just a plain vintage Zippo in your collection among all those gorgeous table lighters and intricate pocket lighters? Being that it was the most prolific lighter on screen ever...
I've started compiling screenshots of Zippo usage from movies made during the first 30 or so years that Zippo existed. See the google drive folder HERE.
If you have more to add, let me know!

I've got some Zippos, but I don't think any are vintage. Zippos look so similar for the most part other than the case art I never really go into collecting them.

I think these are the extent of my actual Zippo brand (excluding clones) lighters:

Park Sherman Lighter (1945)

This is the matching Park Sherman lighter from Key Largo (1948) with Humphrey Bogart before and after sanding and polishing it. It's not perfect, but I'd be sanding a long time to get out every divet, etc. I think it does look a lot better. I'm having some severe personal health problems (prayers appreciated), so if this is the last lighter I ever post, you'll have an idea why.

Ronson Vee Lighter (1936)

-Similar to the IMCO "Klips" lighter from 1934 (I guess we know who copied whom)

I don't know if I'll be able to get the Ronson Vee Lighter working. It has a stuck flint and no easy way to get at it since the mechanism is riveted and I have no replacement rivets for it. Patience might eventually get it out with a wire bottle brush or something, but I'm sick of it for now. The spark wheel isn't moving so there's a fair chance it won't work regardless. I guess the IMCO version wins for reliability, despite selling for half the price.... It's nice looking, however. It is missing its tassel as well, although I'm sure a new one would look great.

Hello, I was able to repair by using a clockmakers staking set, the anvil has different size holes that allows you to support the back side around the rivet and knock through and still be reusable. Yes, your flint is corroded solid and will need to be knocked back through and then tube cleaned out, slightly stretching the spring a tiny amount helps put a little more pressure on the flint for a more reliable spark. Hope this helps.

I already managed to clear the flint, if you look back up there carefully. My only issue is the gears not moving the mechanism.

That's interesting about the clock maker set, though. I'd probably have to see it to see exactly what you're talking about. You don't happen to have a photo of it do you? Thanks.

Here is the anvil and the punches, I used the one in the left to start, then used the small brad/nail to tap on through, middle punch reflared the rivet and the flat one finished it off.

Long time watcher first time caller here.

I'm not sure if this one counts, but this is the 2014 Constantine Series lighter.

It's a Brass zippo armour that I sanded, painted, lasered off the paint to make a mask, acid etched, and finally polished.

Got my MRI results for having weird ghostly tactile hallucinations (why I stopped working on lighters). Not good.

8mm lesion T2 Hyperintensity indicating possible Lacona stroke (interior) and/or MS. So says the radiology report. God knows when they can get me to see a neurologist (all backed up). Google Ai is so encouraging. 75% chance of death within 14 years. 5.8% chance this year. 4 months without treatment due to slow/moronic health care industry that doesn't want to pay for testing (the insurance that is). Still waiting for a reply from my regular moron doctor (he didn't even want to do a MRI or send me to a neurologist. He wanted to test for carpal tunnel (nerve conduction test). My fingers aren't numb! I never heard of buzzing sensations moving around the body with carpal tunnel, particularly when it happens everywhere but my hands!)

I think Ai could do a better job than this cucumber....

Sorry to hear those news...:(I guess more tests will have to be done to make sure.

My regular doctor is on vacation (again). His doctor buddy looked at it and said follow up with him next week. I see a possible stroke means nothing to them. I suspect it actually happened in 2019 as I was dizzy most of that year and the ENT doctor swore it wasn't my ear. It suddenly went away after getting on an airplane so I thought the doctor was full of it.

If these are hallucinations, they are incredibly similar day to day. I'll feel like a toe is pushing on my foot and move my foot and it will bump into the rest of the foot. It actually feels like an interdimensional alien attached to me somehow (I did see a bright light in my bedroom one night), feels ghostly and then had a litter of more of its kind as little ones now race around me and have been getting bigger. The "swim" up to my shoulder/neck and put their arms around me and latch on like a hug (I suspect they're drawing energy) although one likes my foot and I have trouble keeping one away from my junk (big nipple to them?).

They feel exactly like a sack shaped ghost outfit or jellyfish but with arms. There's nothing specific underneath the body/sack shape, but can stretch and plaster onto my legs and feet, etc. I never hallucinate anything else. I suspect they were tiny at first and felt like energy spots moving up and down my body. They'd move where I thought. Now they're behaving more on their own. I'm hoping they all leave when they're big enough.

If I'm nuts, it's nuts in a very specific way. I had two churches attempt to cast them out. No luck there either. I had a dream where I saw a cell phone and text flashed across it. No Demon. No Angel. No Dream. I'm pretty freaked out about it. I can't even get my doctor to prescribe an anti-psychotic to try. They act like it's no big deal. It's distracting at best. Freaky. And I got groin stabbing pains for a month.

That might have been a UTI as I tested positive for it, but they said the bacteria level was too low to prescribe an antibiotic. I had to drink cranberry juice and take garlic and turmeric pills. It (stabbing pain) stopped after a week of that, but not the hallucinations/things.

I could be slowly dying of a progressive brain disorder and my doctor has gone golfing....
