Loki Variant Jacket

This is great!!! Knew you folks would come through! Must be a reason I hesitated on the her universe hot topic exclusive. Its good as an affordable alternative, but you can't beat "the real deal"!
(Read next text in hiddleston's Loki voice)
Excellent work!

Around 100mm, ±10. I can't tell for sure, there's a bit of difference between my jacket and Campus Loki's, so counting pixels is giving me results all over the place.

Calibrating everything based on what we know, I'm also measuring the back letters at about 4 inches or 100mm tall.
Also looks to be Franklin Gothic Extra Condensed. Or some other bold condensed gothic font, but I feel good about Franklin Gothic.

As for the rest of the costume.
(Black?) Dress shoes and brown pants.

Custom printed 1960's style square bottom 2 inch wide brown tie with orange, gold, and navy half inch stripes (2 inch brown stripes) with tva logo printed on orange stripe and what I can only guess is a custom light blue/grey button down shirt with fake collar that extends to the shoulder/arm seam.

Also, the font for the crest seems to be Blair ITC.

What kind of fabric is it? I can’t tell if it’s a nylon or a cotton or both
Both.

The tag on the inside says that the shell is 51% cotton, 41% nylon. I have absolutely no idea what the other 8% is. The lining is 100% cotton.

Episode 2's cafeteria scene has the shirt in a few different colors all in the same lighting. I think Loki's is light grey - it seems darker than the white shirt, but the light blue shirts are more noticeably blue.

Since these shirts (+ the inverted lapel suit, which we've seen on background characters as well) seem to be TVA standards, I wonder if we'll see anyone start producing these.

@cjlerch - I'm definitely looking into producing Owen's shirt for myself! :D I love the retro-future look! But surely there will be some repro brands that will make them at some point.

I'm quite certain Loki's is OCBD cloth and Owen's might be a poplin of some sort. I'm thinking of being two OCBD shirts and modifying them according to the details I identified below.....

Should the shirting have a separate thread?

If you do a run, count me as interested! Same with the ties - I saw you were working on those, as well.

I think the shirts merit their own thread - there's enough going on in their construction that some exploration might help.

dreadnought Seconding this! If you do a run of Loki's shirt and/or tie, I'd definitely be in too.

Got my jacket and the iron in crests I had made.
Here is my attempt at positioning. Seems the jacket in the show was ironed/pressed to have the buttons always out turned and the string at the bottom of the jacket was removed. It appears the bottom of the logo is in line with the top of the second button and is centered about 6 inches in from the edge. The (lapel?) seems to overlap the logo slightly.

Looks great! Avengers Campus Loki wears it without the closure folded back, and on his the crest looks just about perfectly centered between the edge of the closure and the arm seam.

I cut out an 85mm circle to visualize it for myself, and folding the closure back à la actual Loki covers the right amount of it. On my (Large) jacket, there's about 3.5" on either side of the crest/paper circle.

I have this jacket in XL if any more measurements are needed for stuff happy to help!

Anyone going to be doing a run of iron on stuff for the logo/wording xD?

My jacket came in today, size small. I will be printing the text and crest on it in vinyl hopefully later this week. Has anyone got good reference photos of the belt buckle? From what I can tell it's a rectangular buckle with the TVA logo on it. Probably something that can be modeled to be 3D printed quite easily.

As a matter of fact, yes.

TVA Belt Buckle Part. by WesleyS
Pretty confident in the dimensions of the buckle being 1.75 in x 3.5 in.

Agent Mobius' belt buckle seems to be very different.

Were the strange collared dress shirts used in the show custom made for just the show, or are they an actual style of shirt that can be found?

General concensus seems to be custom for the show. In the real world there would be no way to actually thread a tie around your neck, without a lot of trouble.

Here is my large jacket. I have put a ruler to get an idea of the dimensions to center the iron on.

And here it is applied. Seems to go on quite well. I would advise to be careful as you can introduce lines on the fabric by ironing over the seams on the liner. You cannot see it in the image and I'm sure they will wash out but do be aware.

The orange appears much lighter in these quick cellphone pics but in person is much closer to the graphic I posted earlier in the thread.
Like a blaze/traffic cone orange.
