Low Budget Wolverine Costume

Love those claws and great job on the tutorial. I may just have to make a pair for scratching and stuff:)

for a reference... I just found out that the claws on these are attached with hot glue. Hit it with a heat gun from the back and they pop right out.

Sorry I hadnt post in a while, but life got in the way hahaha... Thank you very much for your kind words. And should you have any questions on the conversion process let me know. Well the day has come, im having the costume party today and this is what i'll be wearing... I could never get the beard just right (not enough testosterone i guess hahahaha) So im going for Wolverine just aout of the barber shop.

Ciao my friends.

wow excellent. would you mind showing us what halloween claws you got originally for modding?

edit: sorry, i hadn't realize that the first pics ARE the claws you bought. i thought they were someone's finished mod..)

I apparently like digging up old threads, but I am in the process of doing the same modification since my machined Aluminum claws won't be ready for Halloween.

Did the Might Putty hold up well? Did the smell go away, or did the paint seal the smell out? Has anyone used the JB Weld KwikPlastic Adhesive Putty Stick?

Excellent job.. have just got my claws looking forward to giving this a go seems easy enough cheers... Nuff said .. SNIKT :)

Just an update. With some force (be careful because I broke one claw (can be fixed) you can pop the claws from the fake hand. :)
