Grogu received a new treat today. I ordered these off of Amazon yesterday. $6.50 was kind of pricy considering I only needed one in green, but I couldn't resist. The thing I can't wrap my brain around is why they are suggesting keeping pills in something shaped to look like a desert item that would entice a kid.

I placed a magnet inside to make it easier for him to hold, but he actually grips it very well. I may attempt to customize one of the other ones to look like it has a bite out of it and paint it to match.

Hey guys, wanted to show you some stuff I've been working on instead of starting a thread since... it kinda coincides with the stuff here.

So this is armor that I've painted under the guidance of Mr Mold Maker. I'm also currently having my helmet painted by Derek at Legacy Efx (It's an EFX helmet that I modified some of the details on to be more accurate where the poorly done mold that EFX made messed up. So it'll be a helmet with not only lineage to the original helmet, but a lineage paint job to the original shop as well).

Armor is all great ape armor, painted and finished with custom mixed paint and weathered with oils, acrylics, and fuller's earth:

RINZLERTRON -- nice job! I'm very interested in the technique used in picture M5 above. It looks like it's the forearm controler. What technique did you use for the white weathering along the left side and the top? It almost looks like it's been embedded with sand! Nice! I really like that...

Thanks!
It’s just fullers earth. Once the whole paint job is sealed, I use some hairspray and mist it on, then use fullers earth to coat the “deep” areas. Then I just wash the higher points off with some water.

Do you then use clear coat or a satin coat afterwards? I would be concerned that the Fuller's earth would eventually come off...

I usually mist over it with more hairspray to seal it. You can also layer it if you want and repeat the process, and it sticks pretty dang well.

RINZLERTRON- AWESOME painting and weathering!!!

I use Fuller's Earth and usually start with a spray of clear coat and then sprinkle the Fullers Earth over it and then another coat of clear coat to lock it down. I can't say I have ever had it come off. If you use a gloss clear coat it will give it a bit of a muddy look, which worked out perfectly on my Sandtrooper armor.

UPDATE: I just found out that Fullers Earth is actually for a facial mask. I had no idea. I got mine from a buddy. I just assumed it was something used in the modeling world. I have also used tile grout powder as well.

I converted one of the macarron pill boxes I bought off Amazon into a Grogu cookie with a bite out of it. It has a magnet inside that helps hold it to his hand, but he really doesn't need it. Not counting wait time, this is like a 10-15 minute project. The only additional thing I had to buy was some minty-blue colored spray paint. Everything else I already had.

Couple upgrades and accurizations on my Fieldmarshall/blasterfactory IB-94.

Chris is now offering the brass breach block and knurled and slotted slide screw.

Can you link to the ones you bought? I bought a 6 pack but the ones I got look smaller than yours.

Been a while since I’ve checked in and shared any work. Here are some Bo helmets I’ve painted recently. I’m working on a run of 40, all spoken for.
