The problem with changes like that is that the helmet could've been made to look like this one or could've look like this fantasy for this one or this totally neato looking design for this one or...

But what the serious fan fell in love with was the screen one. And spending the serious big bucks is the screen accurate one one they should have produced.

I know MR is going through changes, but if management can start letting things like that slide, what else are they going to let keep on sliding. We know quality control is already an issue. Now it does not have to look accurate?

Yeah, I see a future with that type of management. Not.

This is why there needs to be more competition, more companies like QMx, Sideshow, Gentle Giant taking the reins that MR is dropping. Its sad, but it looks like the almighty dollar is more important than quality and accuracy at this point with MR.

I still would like to visit the alternate universe where everything in the original trilogy was perfectly symmetrical and all the prop replicas and prequel versions were asymmetrical and see if the same people claimed that asymmetry was better.

Yeah, computer edit Han not shooting first, Change those nasty guns to something more PC ( worked with E.T. ) , make it clean neat symetrical, make those changes... The fans don't know whats really good, there is always time to change it and really make it good.

MR has just "announced" another of its 2007 products: an ESB Luke Blaster.

I put "announced" in quotation marks, because MR quietly slipped the announcement into their mailing about the 2006 Collector's Society Sweepstakes.

Amy just called me and asked me to answer your question about the Stormtrooper Helmet.

For 2007, we will only making the Limited Edition. Here are the features:

1. Molded in Fiberglass. It is cast in 4 pieces: Face, dome, right and left ear. This is the way the original helmets were made, except for they were vacuum formed.
2. Wonky
3. Hero version
4. Bubble Lenses
5. Full padding inside (ala Clone Trooper)

Probably. I don't know why, but I can't get excited over Chewie's bowcaster. I always thought he looked cooler when he had the Stormtrooper blaster in ESB.

Finally. It's about time MR paid some attention to us Trekkies . Am looking forward to the Tricorder. I only hope that MR makes a Mark X Tricorder, which would allow me to match it to my MR first contact phaser.
