mikajedi's Star Wars Prop Collection

Gosh, this collection is incredible. I'll add my own good compliments about those panels, you're giving me ideas :wink

who's Obi Wan saber is this?

The obi1 saber is a weathered master replicas. I will post more pics of the other props when I will have the time. I keep the panels but really have no place to display them next to my collection.

Great collection. How tall are you two Vader helmet stands. I have a helmet on the way I need to have a stand built for. It would help if I could get the measurement to have it ready when it got here. Total height if you could.

Hi thanks, the stands are from EFX and are 13.8 inches. I added som foam Inside each facemask then It won't move.
Anyway you should have a 14 or 14.5 inches stand to be sure everything is ok.
Because If you don't add some foam... with the weight of the helmet, the neck will touch the base, so It will be better at least to have a 14 inches stand.

P.S : for my other helmets, I went to Ikea and bought some metal toilet paper stands I can cut with the correct size I want.

they call it "grundtal"

Beautiful collection! Those DL are stunning, really wish I could get a hold of Laws to get one :(

About the grundtal stands, is the base diameter large enough to keep the helmets stable (looks alittle small)? Are they heavy also? These might make the ideal stands I'm looking for.

Awesome dude thanks. We don't have an IKEA around here but we do have hobby lobby so that will suffice.

Hi the grundtal diameter base is ok for stability. The weight is also correct.
I never had a problem with a stand.

You should buy one and try it.

Hi everyone, I have 2 new helmets in my collection.

To begin, I received this excellent imperial gunner SDS 'original stormtrooper helmets". The overall shape is really great. Very close to some of the original props.

And I had the chance to be in contact with a really nice guy "ywingfighter" who made this A Wing helmet kit. I did the paint job myself.

Fantastic looking helmets, not often do I see the rebel pilot variants. Imperials will always be my favourites though so I particularly like the Imperial Gunner, very cool looking and definitely on my wishlist for someday. So AA/SDS still makes these? The finish and build quality looks very good.

I took your advice on the ikea stands too, bought a bunch of them and they work great so thanks!

Thanks :)

Yes the production time is 21 days and SDS will deliver the gunner helmet... but...The SDS is very expensive. , I bought it because I really wanted this kind of helmet (with a mix between medieval and sci-fi). So even If this is too costy the better thing is to be happy with it in the collection. The shape is one of the most accurate I've seen.

If It's too expensive, I know Anovos will make a gunner helmet too and the price should be better, but we'll have to wait to see the final product one day.

The SDS is the ideal thing to display it in some furnitures and I don't think It's a helmet for trooping. There are some tiny small marks not really noticable, this is not a perfect piece but the most important is to have something really close to some of the original helmets.

P.S : this is cool If you found some Ikea stands, It's the best thing I found and It's cheap and solid.. I usually cut a part of the stand to have the correct size depending the helmet I want to display.

P.S : The A wing pilot is really cool and "ywingfighter" in Germany did an excellent job with this new kit.

Yeah the price of collecting helmets can sting abit, but I love em and I just spent alot on my all time favourite, the Scout trooper and I know I'l be absolutely thrilled once I have it :D Im also waiting to see what Anovos can bring also, particularly the Gunner and Royal Guard helmet. The only imperial helmet I dont really want at all is the massive cheese grater helmet, never liked it.

I havent cut down my stands yet, waiting to add a few more helmets so I can get them roughly at the same "eye" level. problem is the cowl on the Snowtrooper is quite long so I might just leave the stands a little tall.

amazing collection! i love the greeblie wall skins you made! i am also a huge wedge fan, and one day hope to have a helmet like the one you haves on display in my room. do you happen to have more pictures of the wedge helmet?

thanks halliwax, here's some pics of the wedge, the weathering job is excellent.

And to eifion, when you cut the stand, you can adjust the height with foam Inside the helmet or you can add bubble wrap or more foam with scotch on the top of the stand.
Anyway about SDS, I don't like their stand, I really prefer the mr or efx version.

So now you can see more pics :

To begin, the Wedge helmet

This my EFX ANH Luke helmet and I found the original weathering paint was not too dirty for me so I added more weathered details :

And to finish here's the rebel family (more colored than imperials helmets) :

Thanks to you Frank :) I had the possibility to have a really great and original helmet.

Anyway I recommend ywinfighter If someone wants a cool A wing helmet kit.

Even If my paint job is not accurate, I wanted to have something really close to the original weathered version

Very nice collection and great paintjob on the A-Wing helmet!;)

Hi :) I started to collect only 1/1 props but smaller pieces are also cool. So here's some of the new things I got :

To begin, I like droids and I found these 1/6 scale very nice : r2 sideshow, c3po tamashi and r5d4 from medicom:

Probe droid sideshow 1/6 (summer garden version)

more weathered details on the the Master Replicas boba fett helmet :

these are my X WING Revell 1/29. I painted them in red2 and red5 because the original revell model is like a toy:

This red 5 is really cool with a custom stand:

Here's a link of this XWING in HD to see more details :

And to finish a little teaser pic of the things you'll see next time :
