More 'Jaws' - Ellen Brody (Lorraine Gary) NECA head sculpt - 3D Model completed

UPDATE: New print of revised sculpt. I made some changes to the model (I'll post some new renders soon) which I think will be the finalized version of her. The main change was that I smoothed the underside of the jaw and extended it back towards the neck so there's a bit less of a gap, but still room to tilt the head. I only printed one head this time, but I still have the different hairstyles, all updated with the adjustments too. I also tried mixing color into the resin to match the body. I bought a set of alcohol inks and I'm pretty pleased with the results. My color matching turned out pretty close.

Since the resin color matches the body, I'm not sure of how I want to smooth it. Sanding can cause a loss of detail, so I could try painting extra resin to fill in the lines and re-cure it. But I think that would result in a shiny surface, and I could end up applying too much resin and losing detail that way too. Guess I'll have to do some tests first.

I'm still working on painting - my first attempt was okay, but the paint looked too uneven when looking at it up close, not smooth enough, so I stripped it off and plan on redoing it. But I wanted to get the file published since it's done and the test prints are fine. I included bald heads in case anyone wanted to add doll hair "Barbie-style." I only included the sunglasses with lenses - I figured the lenses in the film are dark enough that it doesn't really matter if they're printed in solid or transparent resin.

It's available on CGTrader - search for Ellen Brody or Jaws and it should come up, or search user "Bloog."
