I know the professional mask companies make their mother molds with fiberglass so that they will last and be able to get hundreds of pulls from each mold but I'm only making a silicon mask for cosplay that I will likely only make one or two masks from it. Given that, can I make the mother mold using those plaster bandages vice fiberglass? If so, is it the same basic process: make a clay wall, make one half of the mold and then make the other half ? I've got a subscription to Stan Winston's online courses which show in great detail how to make a silicon mask mother mold but the6 do it using fiberglass construction ...
