i am a mr blobby tribute act and im looking to have multiple mr blobby charactors to make appearances
if we can all come together and i show the patterns so far we can adjust them etc
and in return i would like someone to make me a costume
I’m currently starting the body not that the head is finished, I’ll be making the shape of it this week, I’ve managed to work out a pattern to shape all the foam together to make the body shape, then it’s on to arms and legsim happy to share the patterns that i have so far and im hoping that we can all benefit from the master final costume

Let me know what you need, I’m happy to give any info as it looks like yours needs some improvements (no offence)ok well i would be interested in updating my patterns
im currently looking for a few mr blobbys to work on my tribute show also
so hoepfully together we can all have matching blobby outfits
i would probably need a costume made as im currently performing as mr blobby as a tribute act with my current suitLet me know what you need, I’m happy to give any info as it looks like yours needs some improvements (no offence)
That’s amazing! I’ve always been a fan of Blobby but was only last year that I was sitting thinking about the costume and wondered if I’d be able to make one, I was actually pretty surprised to find out there are a few people doing it at the same time haha.i would probably need a costume made as im currently performing as mr blobby as a tribute act with my current suit
and im getting very busy
im happy to pay etc
you have to understand when i made the suit three years ago i was the only guy to have ever made the suit apart from plunge creations
and i have got as far as i have got with it on my own etc
now it seems i may have started a bit of a craze with it as i get roughly 10 emails per month asking how i did it etc
so now that other people are making them im happy to hire them
It’s not been easy so far making it as I’ve never really done anything like this, lot of learning curves and hard work but it’s slowly getting there. That’s amazing! Do you get a lot of requests for the tribute act?
yes i do but im not able to fulfill them due to people not willing to pay for the travel costsDo you get a lot of requests for the tribute act?
yes i do but im not able to fulfill them due to people not willing to pay for the travel costs
so im trying to get a mr blobby in every region in the uk so i can give them jobs xx
when i first started i was the only one making the suit " my attempt"
but it makes people happy seeing mr blobby at events
i got the suit wrong on my first attempt so i sold mine on ebay to get the money back that i spent on the suit
the next day bbc emailed me asking were did i get the suit from and can i show authenticity
within minutes 3 original suits were listed to compete against mine as they thought mine was real
the suit in the profile picture is my third attempt
your one looks much better than mine
i havnt used plastidip on mine due to i find that plastidip tends to crack on overuse
i have used latex sheeting ( 3 inches wider than my paper pattern)
i have spoken with plunge creations and they have been very helpful
when paul denson ordered the outfit to be made from plunge he didnt use the original patterns he only had 1 master original suit and they winged it from there
i have spoken to michael leggo from bbc noels house party
and he didnt have the blueprints to hand as he only drew mr blobby on a scrap paper
bbc studios created the actual outfit ( everyone has retired from costume dept)
paul denson got his mr blobby outfit when he left unique tv and was given it as a leaving gift
so no one actually has the *original* patterns for the suit
plunge creations have the patterns for the new suit
currently 2 suits are in east of england at a private location * i am in contact with the location*
the propstore mr blobby outfit was not the original patterns either as this was made to measure for the actor in germany
all the outfits have been made to measure for whoever is wearing them
barry killbery and noel edmonds are the same build
there have been 5 versions of the outfit so far
so its hard to gather which suit to make it from
my suit has been made from the inspiration of the original gotcha noels house party series 2 episode 1 wayne sleep
im really wanting to have a plastidip version and im really happy with yours
i would love to team up and swap ideas and patterns to speed up your process
and i would love to hire you for my tribute shows
if you check out mrblobby.tv you will see my original mr blobby outfit that i sold after my first show as it wasnt completley right
i really wanted to purchase the trademark to the costume and charactor since the trademark was abandonded in 1999 and never renewed
however paul denson has registered the likeliness of the suit and has told me " if you do remake the suit i will sue you"
this is why i call it a tribute show and that leaves paul denson to still appear as mr blobby
however i do own his old website and still get some direct tv enquiries on it
however i alsways make it clear that paul denson does the tv version and im happy to do the other non tv work
i love mr blobby with all me heart and always have done
and im so glad that people are reviving and studying the creation process
its nice to know that im not alone .......................
i have heard though some tv sources that barry killerby has passed away and this is why paul denson has taken the job of being mr blobby
then only loophole is to call it a tribute show * but its basically the same suit*
please lets all come together and create loads of suits and keep his legacy alive
i would love to purchase a suit from whoever can make a really good one
im happy to give all patterns out privatley to people in order for us to make a brilliant team of mr blobbys.
Thanks for all the info, I’m making the main part of the body this week, I’ll send some updated photos on here, my plan is to make an exact replica of the latest Mr Blobby, I wasn’t doing it for any particular reason, just a challenge that I set myself to see if I could do it.yes i do but im not able to fulfill them due to people not willing to pay for the travel costs

good afternoonThanks for all the info, I’m making the main part of the body this week, I’ll send some updated photos on here, my plan is to make an exact replica of the latest Mr Blobby, I wasn’t doing it for any particular reason, just a challenge that I set myself to see if I could do it.
I’ll see how I get on with finishing this one first, been a lot of learning curves but I reckon I could do another one in half the time as I have all the sizes and templates now. And would depend on how much you’d be willing to pay hahagood afternoon
please do keep me updated
im happy to pay for production as i need a new mr blobby outfit
if your in uk im happy to drive to pick it up also
thank you
Honestly I wouldn’t have a clue on pricing, I suppose just whatever the going rate is on custom costumes? Like I said, I was just doing this as a random hobby to see if it was possible to replicate the costume.good afternoon
please do let me know the price please
if you wish to take it private please message info@mrblobby.tv
The head took me a couple of months as I didn’t have a clue what I was doing, so made plenty of mistakes on the way, but I reckon I could put one together a lot quicker second time roundHonestly I wouldn’t have a clue on pricing, I suppose just whatever the going rate is on custom costumes? im happy with your work and woud love to hire you please do work out a costThe head took me a couple of months as I didn’t have a clue what I was doing, so made plenty of mistakes on the way, but I reckon I could put one together a lot quicker second time round
Haha thanks for the offer, but I’m only doing this for a bit of fun, I’ve got my own business so mega busy with that, I doubt I’d have time to be Mr Blobby, or a costume maker. But I’ll see how this one ends up and if it’s possible I can start a new one. The one I’m making should hopefully be fully finished by the end of November. I’m one of these people that doesn’t just want it similar to the original, I want it to be an exact replica, so I’m putting a lot of hours into it. I got half of his body shape done tonight, other half will be tomorrow.im happy with your work and woud love to hire you please do work out a cost
