MR didn't think it was worth it, after all MR hasn't been moving product as well as past years. It would take anywhere from 6 months to a year to empty the inventory, they couldn't sell it in time, and that's a loosing proposition. Because they will have dump remaining inventory, at a huge loss. So it's not worth the investment. But their loss is our gain, some of the garage kits out there are far superior to what MR would have put out. This means they will be available again. And nobody will be on the board complaining about how bad the MR X-Wings are.

MR is in the business of selling models/props, not making them. They look at only one thing the bottom line. The X-Wing didn't pencil out.
 
Very disappointing indeed. I was just going to start working on a figure for it, oh well. And although the Falcon sale is a nice gesture they can be picked up on the Bay for around the same price.
 
Yeah, I'm done buying licensed replicas immediately upon release. Better deals always emerge later. That Falcon/Enterprise 1-2 punch left a nasty bruise still on the credit card bill!

No kidding,
But wait, if you pay $60 you can get a 10% discount. Which means I saved a whole $40 off the retail price of $1200(plus shipping) for the E.

If I waited a few months I could have gotten one for $800 plus free shipping.

Yea, that makes me want to buy direct from MR again.

But I got a very low number(Like that really matters, in the E's case it was less desirable).

OTOH, if it's an item you really want, waiting for the discount is a risk. Witness the Disney "Leagues" Nemo sub and Hellboy Samaritan.

I would have liked getting the Falcon cheaper, but I'm not sorry I have one!

Frank, I'm looking forward to hearing about any new SS x-wings in lieu of the MR offering. In the meantime, I am interested in getting a Salzo hull body if anyone knows where I can find one.

Well, there is a well Known and Respected Model Builder here who has sold a kit.

Im sure he would enthusiasticly fill orders...as soon as we all make sure the COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE XWING wont be coming back like JASON.

Thats not certain yet.

Its safe to say...some of us are wtaching intently eating popcorn to see if a "sequel" materializes. Stay tuned.....
