My large x wing prop build ☺

haha exactly where it is i made what i could of nose and cockpit area then when began back end it wasn't movable back inside no more so needed covered up and finished being built outside. so i made sure it was in position before i added on the rear end lol.
i bought a big marque tent for part of the look of my starwars garden im building towards but its since became the permanent x wing cover its in sections main big body of tent covers the bod of the x wing and the sides of the tent cover the wings protection from the weather.
the x wing is around 17 ft long and it will be around 14 feet wide once wings are fixed on proper so it takes some covering but it is quality.

adding black paint to the cross section inside the engine intake

just using some of this black acrylic paint i used this same paint on the under carriage of my life size speeder bike i built in 2017 its lasted very well and still heaps left i dont use it to much.

one coat for the 4 of the outside if the 4 of them done. as u can see they will need another one but job done for now till they dry proper.

ok so while i waited for grey on bins to dry well i reverted back to one of the wings..First test run of wing patterns and colours based on my 1978 x wing toy. i enjoy the artistic bits of builds too its relaxing and it's gone well i think. you can see where i had the masking tape around edges of what ive done its wood coloured along that strips then the red spray has gone just lightly beyond that lol.
thats fine tho it will be perfected soon anyway it was more for getting design measurements good and colours good too. ☺
