Is the badge in the wallet metal? Looks like a sctcarts wallet, but the one I got from him had a less nicer badge (it was in resin. If yours also is resin, it defenitely has a better paintjob).

Did you receive it that way, or did you give the badge a paintjob /weathering job yourself? In the meanwhile I replaced my resin ones with metal badges. I was lucky enough to find someone in Belgium who worked for Fox and had some X-Files (and Milennium) production material. Between that there were also some metal FBI badges, it turned out to be the exact same badges as in the series. The resin ones from sctcarts are identical, but a little less detailed. But they clearly have lineage to an original.

Yep, I got two metal ones from the ex-Fox-employee. I also asked about the business cards I had. He didn't had business cards himself, but he told me they looked like they could have been used in the series. Off course, without reference materal in hand, he couldn't say for sure, but he didn't want to say they were NOT production made, either... He did tell me however dat quite some "screen used" business cards that can be found on yourprops.com, are not screen used at all (the FBI logo is too blurry, and wouldn't pass quality standards for the props to be used in the series).

Anyway, I'll post some comparison pics of a metal badge along the resin one in the coming days...

Those Prop Mulder and Scully FBI cards on Yourprops are mine

They are behind thick perspex so they appear blurry (and I'm crap at photography) but are pin sharp and identical to yours.

Forgot to mention, although these were sold to me as "Screen Used" they are more than likely "Production Made"

Don't know to which ones he was referring. There are quite some business cards indicated as screen used on yourprops. If you say that yours are identical to mine, then maybe mine are screen used (or at least production made) too... As I said in my sales thread: I can't really confirm this, since the guy I got them from can't say, and they didn't come with a certificate... :-(. Anyway, Alan, seems that you might have production made cards in hand there ;-)

As promised, a few pics of the metal badge I have. The wallet is also a Sctcarts:



Left a close-up of the metal badge, at the right the badge that came originally with the wallet. I did strip off the original paint, however, since it was very dark, and I repainted the badge in gold:



Last pic is a side by side comparison of the resin Sctcarts badge, and the production made metal badge. Sctcarts badge clearly has lineage to an original one. On top of that it is almost as detailed as the original one, so a very, very good casting. So unless you can get your hands on a production made badge, I guess Sctcarts version is the best out there...

The assembly was easy, but the finishing was a pain :lol. Not Rob's fault of course, but I could only afford this in white strong & flexible plastic at Shapeways, which has a grainy texture. Would have loved to get it in Frosted Ultra Detail, as that requires no finishing whatsoever other than paint. No way I could use XTC-3D on this one either, or the several parts would not have fit into each other. Good old fashion elbow grease was the only solution :lol

I just noticed something - where's your Airwolf tribute? Aoshima makes a nice 1/48 die cast that would go great next to KITT in the display case.

I tried to find something else that you don't have that you may like... but... yea.. it's like trying to find water for a fish in the ocean.
