My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival : The Godfather

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Men in Black

Take it easy, it was not in a negative way...

I was taking it easy :lol

No worries :)

I often get asked what 'direction' I am heading in / what motivates me to collect / how do I choose what to get etc etc etc.

I was just trying to express the tangled bowl of spaghetti that is my brain, and which will likely remain that way till the day I croak :lol

And your answer is "everything"?!? :lol

Ok....:) 1:1 is a must have for ME...

Luckily I have not enough money to collect 1:1 figures... :lol

Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, Jason Vorhees, Freddy, some guys from Lord of the Rings, Terminator, Jack Sparrow, a Ghostbuster and William Wallace are still on my 1:1 to do list... :lol

BTW: Actual topic at the moment around here: Could you tell me what you paid for the phial of Galadriel?!? :)

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Men in Black

If I ever get too 'bored' of how things are displayed, imagine, I could rearrange everything in different places, and spend months just getting used to the new layout and rediscovering things all over again :lol

Adam knows what I talking about ;)

Oh, I'm afraid that I know what you're talking about all too well Alan. :) (I think that we both suffer from the same aforementioned ''spaghetti brain'' syndrome.) :lol There's just too many cool movies out there for us to leave any ground uncovered, right?

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Men in Black

In a nutshell, yes :lol

Luckily I have not enough money to collect 1:1 figures... :lol

Neither do I :lol. That's why I collect the smaller ones. They fill one of those voids I was on about before :)

BTW: Actual topic at the moment around here: Could you tell me what you paid for the phial of Galadriel?!? :)

About 5 years ago, something like £50 IIRC. That was amongst the first things I got.

Indeed :love

But not as impressive like 1:1...

Uhm, ok... I guess I have to pay more in every case, because it's sold out, just want to have a rough overview what price is normal and how far I would go to get this thing... Thanks...

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Silence of the Lambs

Much to many's delight in more ways than one :lol, here is the last figure that completes the (in) famous shelf :lol

not seen before.Keep up the great work,Alan !!

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Silence of the Lambs

Nice choice Alan, :thumbsup (but I still think that there's room for a couple more.) ;)

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Silence of the Lambs

Thanks Adam & Gladney :)

Well, Adam, I suppose if I turn that shelf into a replica subway carriage at rush hour, I could fit in a couple more :lol

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Silence of the Lambs

He needs his mask on.

Put a can of beans next to him.

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Silence of the Lambs

As I said before really cool collection!! :love:thumbsup I like your passion when collecting!

When you collect you do it for yourself, sharing it with others is just the topping on the cake. I also like displaying smaller items next to more high end stuff. I know some would say why would you display a keychain or a 501st patch next to a very expensive prop. But my idea of collection might be different from others, and I enjoy it as it is. Classy doesn't mean the same thing for me as it might for others. So enjoy collecting as YOU like. :)

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Silence of the Lambs

I just spent the last full hour looking through your collection. VERY VERY cool. I have to ask you this. If you could only save ONE piece, if the Aliens were coming to take your house up into the spaceship....lol....WHICH piece would you take to save it? If you had to only pick one piece?

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Silence of the Lambs

So, cool! What are some of your more obscure props? Things that people have to ask about, then go.. "oh yeah! I remember that now! " I just love those ones! Thanks again for sharing you collection with us. I love your enthusiasm for collecting!

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Silence of the Lambs

Cheers folks :)

I think that is very subjective to the viewer. What is obscure to one, may be instantly recognisable to someone else. I have been asked about many items that to others are obvious.

I have to ask you this. If you could only save ONE piece, if the Aliens were coming to take your house up into the spaceship....lol....WHICH piece would you take to save it? If you had to only pick one piece?

That's a great question. I'd also be curious as to why that particular piece?

That's like asking me which one of my kids I would choose to shoot :wacko !

The best I can conceive in my mind is to narrow the choice down to one 'genre'.

I would 'save' all the pieces I made from scratch.

Everything else can be replaced, but there is no way in hell I would make another one of those I built. I make something once, and that's it.

Agree 100%

That's a good answer Alan. :thumbsup I'll take it! :)

That's a good answer Alan. :thumbsup I'll take it! :)

:D :thumbsup

Here's one more Klingon Medal, as first worn by General Korrd in Star Trek V - The Final Frontier, and subsequently 'inherited' by Chancellor K'mpec in TNG and then Gowron in DS9.

Named by fans as the "Bird of Prey Qualification Badge / Medal of Distinction."

And here it joins the other Klingon Awards :)

Next up, from one of the worst movies I've ever seen :lol, one of the coolest props I've seen replicated.

By Brenton (RelicMaker), here's the Dragon Lighter from "Sucker Punch", which the Mayor carried with him and was the 'Fire' the girls needed to help accomplish their plan for an escape.

The base lighter is a high-polish brass, standard-size 'Zippo' lighter.

The Dragon Relief is cast in pewter and is 22kt Gold-Plated.

The Dragon Relief is also on 'both' sides of the lighter.

How could I resist a replica that blings so much with a cool dragon on it ... and that could serve a dual purpose if I wish since I smoke :lol.

Just too much to resist :D

I thought I'd put it next to other 'blinging' replicas :)
