Daryl makes astonishing ones ! But I only got the handles & tsubas from him.

As always awesome collection. I have started to aquire some pieces myself. After seeing your collection I have a few ideas for some awesome ways to display stuff. When I get my wall set up, I will have to post some pics. (Waiting to take over my roommates room when he moves in with his girlfriend.) That will happen in February or March so have a little while to go. Don't know where I am going to store all my stuff till then. Haha.

I really like that base you've got for the Monoshawan (sp) tomb key from the Fifth Element. I keep mine on the mantle over my fireplace. It has got to be the most often dropped item in my collection. People cannot resist picking it up for some reason. Soon enough - TINK - I'll hear it again. Right onto the bricks of the hearth.
There IS a reason for cases and displays I guess. (sigh)

Thanks. The base is just a print of a screencap of the tomb wall.
As for the key, I'd put a dab of superglue under it. Once people realise it's stuck, they won't continue to try and pick it up :lol (and you can easily remove the glue with a blade if needed).

In the episode 'Borderland' of Star Trek - Enterprise, it is T'Pol's first day of duty on board as part of Starfleet, and Captain Archer gives her a 'welcome gift'
It is an early 20th Century Compass, and he gives it to her so that it will 'help keep you pointed in the right direction'.

Is it a replica you made, or is it actually the same type of compass as seen in the series (so: an exisiting compass). If the last: how the h*ll do you find out which type of compass it was? Or did you find it by coincidence?

It is a found item
It didn't take long to find one though. I saw from the screencaps it had a bubble level, so I typed in 'Antique Compass Level' on ebay.
Found a few similar ones immediately. They are for surveys.
Few more searches from the detailed info in the lisitings I found, & I eventually came across an identical one
