New Lanterns Ring

This is what Green Lantern fans have been waiting for...James Gunn just posted a pic from the upcoming Lanterns series.

It's easily overlooked but you can see Kyle Chandler (Hal Jordan) is wearing the new Green Lantern ring.

I zoomed and enhanced the pic to get a clearer view of the ring...

Looks familiar but different...what do you think?

Cool! Hard to tell but it appears that center stone has a more rectangular shape...different than the traditional round stone within a square setting.

I wouldn't go by this pic for details. It has the telltale signs of AI upscaling (look at the textures in his jeans, especially in the lower right corner of the image), which means the detail you're seeing is just a guess by the AI software. When the resolution of the original image is low, the AI tends to just smooth out details and sharpen edges, which looks "better," but may not be accurate to the original objects.

That's a good point...that square center stone on the image fezdrop shared was a surprise.

To be clear, the enlarged image I shared wasn't retouched by AI. I zoomed it up as-is directly from the pic James Gunn shared on IG and it looks like the center stone is round.
