Hello, decided to register as i kept finding myself winding back here when working on different costumes and decorations and realised maybe i am a "prop and costume" person. Have posted my last thing which was a Ferris Buller vest thanks to the advice on that thread. You guys are all amazing and much more talented than me.

Hi, my name is Aaron and I am new to prop making and costume building. I love anything to do with Batman but I am more into the armored look than the comic style. I have learned so much from everyone already. I started about a year ago. I would love to learn sculpting, molding and casting urethane armor and more. Looking forward to learning from the best, and getting new ideas and constructive criticism.
looks awesome man!

Hello! My name is Kris! I'm a 24 year old from Midwest America. I started making props a little over a year ago now and I'm hoping to start meeting people in the community and learning more than just what I've found on YouTube. I haven't finished a whole lot of projects yet, but enjoy making weapons from anime and video games a lot. Thanks for having me :)

Hey Everyone, I'm C, I'm trying to get more involved in the prop making part of my life. It started with cosplay, and quickly turned into just making things i've always wanted in my collection. Can't wait to see what everyone has been working on :)

Hi All, I am a Graphic Designer working my way into the film industry and very new to it all though I've been interested for a few years now just not knowing where to begin.
I've worked on related projects some of which are based on Marvel, Studio, and others Ghibli which I'd like to share further, I'm currently working on a new set of work from other movies most of which are graphic prop replicas such as posters from 10 things I hate about you, Howard the Ducks Id card, and signs from the 66' batman movie.

I have been working on a replica prop recently inspired by the Studio Ghibli movie Ponyo which I have modelled a near 1:1 replica of the lantern that you can see used during the flooding sequence of the film but I have yet to find if it's print-friendly and I'm contemplating if I should have a proper battery door of if I should stick to simply having a magnetic battery door.

Here are just some examples of what I've done.
Napoleon Dynamite Id card, Howls Moving cattle: Love letters, Porco Rosso bottles, Stranger things Microfiche / Filmiche document negative boxes, Tyler the creator Id, and Wishing dust packet from 13 going on 30.

Hello all.
My name is Laura. I've had an interest in props since visiting my first dealer's room at a con in 1989. I have been lurking here periodically for ten years having found the site while looking for reference photos on found item props and how people sourced them. More recently I got interested in costumes as well. I have a creative background but work in a highly-regulated industry so I find making gives me the outlet for creative urges that at restrained at work. Interests: all kinds of Star Trek, Wynonna Earp, Doctor Who, Lost Girl. My Harry Potter interests have waned but I still appreciate the creativity of the artists who brought the books to life and I have way too many trinkets and collectibles to disavow it entirely.

Hello, my name is Marco. I‘m 40 years old and live in bavaria / Germany. After browsing and lurking at the RPF for a long time now (thanks to Adam Savage) i thought it was time to join the community.
I‘m more of a collector than a maker. But what is not, can still be. Maybe i‘ll find the right motivation to start my first (little) project here.

I‘ve been a huge Indiana Jones fan since I was a kid. After seeing the new movie, i want to create a small but fine collection of props and artifacts.

I‘m looking forward to spending time in the forum and to great conversations.

please excuse my clumsy english .. i‘m out of practice.

;-)

Welcome! You will find many great Indiana Jones items for sale in the project runs forum. Keep and eye out for ones made by Restaurajones, Sarednab, Indy Magnoli, and RelicMaker.

And as a side note, my mom was born in Rosenheim Germany! ;)

Hi, my name is Jess and I'm mostly involved with miniatures and jewellery crafting. I got my first 3d printer this year, and lately I've been getting a lot more into the graphic design side to mock up my own simplified miniature packaging, etc - I came across this forum via the papercraft section. :)

Hey, I've been here for a hot minute, but just been inactive due to other things that came up, but I'm back in some sort of capacity.
Love making 3d prints of props so far, hope to one day make a printable and customizable Tron Legacy armor set. Here are some props I have printed rented recently. (The Tron Disc a design I made, but it's still a work in progress)

Hello again, I'm returning after 10 years. Apparently it's spam to post on my old threads now lol. What is the statute of limitations on creating multiple accounts?

Would it be weird to get my old account back?
Same name without the 2.
I still have all of my crap, can easily prove it's me.

Only here because I pulled this old 2012 movie dio I made out of storage and started upgrading the leds.
I got the taste for accidentally burning cutting and gluing parts of myself again.

Hi, my name is David and I'm from Belgium. I'm 39.

I'm interested in TV-series from the 90s. I am trying to "rewatch" all my favorite shows from back in the day.

At this time I'm watching SeaQuest DSV and I'm designing a SeaQuest DSV V-PAL for my 3D printer. I'll post it soon.

Hi everyone,

Been wanting to join for a very long time! I was actually signed up a while ago, but then deleted for inactivity. Lol. It's proven to be a challenge balancing work & life, and finding the time to make the projects I want. That's changing now. I look forward to making, sharing and learning with all of you talented individuals!

Cheers!

Henry

Hi everyone,

After many years of lurking, I've finally caved and joined as I may finally have time to work on replica props in my spare time. I've worked in the film armory industry for about 10 years, and have a small collection of original props and odds and ends I've amassed over the years, and more recently I've started getting replicas of some of my favorite props from movie history. Current projects include a replica lewis gun/T21 Blaster, and some experiments with silicone.
