Not another ABC warrior.

As the title says Iam building an animatronic ABC warrior bust.nothing to ambitious just the head and chest.and most of the hard work was 3D printed.but I took a lot of artistic liberties to try and give it character.I just had to cut and shut to fit the internals.my next.part of the build is the chest

Made a little more progress.I originally wanted to animate the rear tray and use the 2 side buttons to open it and initiate startup but was adding to much weight to the home made Lego ball joints, so I had to bin it.which was disappointing but at least I got it to work before sealing it up.I hope to eventually have the servos controlled my motion detection

Geez...I LOVED 2000AD growing up...Judge Dredd, ABC Warriors, Strontium Dogs...AWESOME.

It's looking good so far, nice paint too...well done...!!!

Thanks mate. I loved 2000AD as well.
I lot of people hate the sly Stalone judge dread. But it had so many awesome characters.I am starting on the chest but I am out of my league

The Stallone Dredd is more like the comic as in characters and style, the fact that he takes his helmet off is a deal breaker, but I think it contains more of the 'heart' of the comic.

Dredd 2012 is more gritty and has some unnecessary gore, but they both have their own attributes that make them both enjoyable.

Ultimately I think they fail because there just isn't enough core audience for the characters. They may have been popular in UK, NZ, AUS etc, but not like a Spiderman etc...

Anyway, if you keep the level of build up that you've achieved with the head, I'm sure the final bust will turn out really well....keep going...!!

I have forever wanted to build a Joe Pineapples well actually the whole gang really.

I did make a 1.1 scale Nemesis the Warlock which was HAF due to the materials used, the maquette was much easier to transport..
