Outlaw Start Caster Gun

I was commissioned to build a replica of the Caster gun from the anime Outlaw Star. He wanted the breach to open and to be able to insert shells into it. Naturally, the trigger moves but there's no sound or lights. You have to supply your own "pew-pew-pew"!

Five of the show's 20 magic shells.

The arm swivels down and the breach opens.

This has been one of those "dream" props since I saw the show, and I haven't seen ANYONE tackle the damned thing.

I accept your love/hate in the spirit it was given!

This thing was an engineering nightmare so I'm not even sure how I'd make a kit of it. Besides, my original will be heading out the door to its new owner today.

BTW, can a mod correct the typo in the title? It's "Star" not "Start". D'oh!

There was a kit? lol I loved this show when it was on Toonami. It's a beautiful gun and was always the most interesting in the series.
