Rebel Endor Blaste rifle - good pics?

Can someone get me the width of the addon pieces indicated in the pic, along with the width of the fake mag? The only pics I have are from the sides so I can't see how wide they are.

On the main two tubes that form the barrel, does the smaller tube just sit on top of the larger? I thought the smaller just sat on top, but on the Studio Creation's blueprints, the smaller tube seems to sit in a slot on top of the bigger tube.

I could be completely wrong. But I thought that the upper tube would have been added to disguise and protect the gas return tube on the M16. It ran along the top of the barrel and would have been easily damaged without something to protect it.
That's the way the ones I used were made when I was in the Army (78-85).
