Loved the box on the Phaser One, too. I'm working out a display stand for the P1 that uses the box so you can see it all.

Definitely get some of those made up for this kit, if you can.

I'm not what you would call a diehard treker, but I grew up with the original and will most definitely get all the ICONIC landing party gear as they come out.

However when the opportunity to revisit, and infact actually
generate the kit from the two screen-used pieces
arised, I felt that a slight delay was more than worth it

As of now I'm shooting for October/November.

Absolutely cool!
As far as trek goes I have never owned an TOS prop peice. Hadn't really been that into the idea. Lately though, I've been getting hooked on TOS and decided that THIS would be a great first TOS item to add to my collection! I can't wait to see the finished peice!

Are you going to try to source out some detail peices that would be uber accurate as well?
