I remember these things creeping me out as a kid - and they still do! One of my favorate movies of all time! Glad to see someone tackling this costume, I'm sure man will not get it at all (can you believe there are so many people who don't even know this movie exists!?) but those who DO recognize the costume will certainly appreciate it big time!

It was a 35/65% split. 35% of the people at comic recognized me. And the only real reason was because of the level of detail i had which was focused in the mask and wheels. I stated a while back that this costume had to be done to a while"T"a little on the harsh side which i do apologize for partially but stand by some of it. My rendition and effort was a HUGE success. Even won a contest; but to me most importantly my effort and dedication to the set up was unrivaled. As cocky as it sounds i was the most unique thing walking/rolling around NYC Im open to question.

Holy crap I haven't thought of the Wheelers in YEARS! I played that movie so many times I broke the VHS tape. Can't wait to see where this goes...

Do you have any photos you took while there?? Its really hard to see any of the work you put in to the costume on the video. Would love to see pics posted!

Ya I'll make a new video and post pictures, that one was from comic con on my gf's crappy iphone lol. I'll give a small behind the scenes as well; i can't say what some of my measurements were cuz i don't honestly know them except for a select few. I built it all around me so my measurements won't work for another person and i don't want to release my official plans with fear of being sued from injuries lol

I'm just interested in seeing the costume itself. Not plans really. I couldnt imagine spending more than 15 minutes in that position at a convention with wheels attached to my limbs lol

The movie ones were just crazy colorful and covered in stuff and the masks were like you said, something that really sets the costume off. Long tentacley things hanging off them, etc. I'd just like to admire the work you put into it, since you spent so much time on it to a T ;)

heres the frist 2 pictures i have until my lazy gf decides to upload the rest off her camera.
It was in my mind that the costume/fabric/ portion didnt need to be exact to the movie, and i wish i had more time to do more with it. I do plan to in the future make a more elaborate jacket and pants, the other detail i plan on is the fenders and hubcaps which, the hubcaps is a whole other ball game to figure out. but no worries for what was roughly 2 week build I still did what i planned to, actually get the damn thing done right first to get enough motivation to continue on it lol a true artist till the end never finishing anything but no really i will lol enjoy.

PS i know these pictures arent the greatest as i stated on the youtube video these were done on her dumb iphone but i will have better quality later
