Here is a version that is opening. Only one size available due to hardware compatibility



Right now I only have 1 size (size 16) which should fit over a glove .
The compartment inside is 15.5mm x 12mm x 1.2mm deep. So you could put a micro sd card in it or make a micro flash costume.

Oh, I actually see why it looks too wide. I forgot to taper the band. Fixed that. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

They sort of can. I managed to make a working hinge for my "The Island bracelet"
The trick is you have to make the parts in separate models and then like I did in the bracelet, use a spring loaded watch pin. The method works quite well.

Not even close yet. Shapeways takes 3 weeks to deliver. But lots of people have ordered in the last 24 hours, so I imagine real world photos will be in about that time frame.
I have however done lots of prints with shapeways and they are 100% accurate to my designs, so I can't imagine the real world view varying any from my design.

I will post a picture of mine when I get it. Ordered in silver though so it may not be what you want. Different materials will look different from shapeways. Some have heavier print lines than others. Mine is expected in January.

Well you did yours in Premium silver, so it should have no print lines. That should be stunning.

Yeah. I want to wear it and personally had problems with wearing brass and turning green under the ring. I am sure the plated option would work fine. I'll still post pics of the premium silver.

Some times shapeways ships in less than 3 weeks, but it is the holidays so it is impossible to say how long now.

My ring got cancelled by Shapeways. Perhaps they can't polish it that much.

No, it was this part

It did not show up in the online warning, I am working with an engineer from shapeways now to find out how to fix this. Looks like it is somehow kicking back as a emboss rejection. Might be because the edges are sharp.
Let me figure it out and Ill let you know when it is fixed.

Got it all fixed now. Looks better too, so maybe this was the best thing for everyone.
