Robocop - Foam Build

Thanks guys!!!

This is going to be amazing when finished. With all the Iron Man suits on this site I'm surprised no one else has done this. I'm going to have to dig up the pics of the posterboard Robo Cop costume I made as a teen back in 1999.

I'd love to see that 1999 costume man - or any Robocop costume that wasn't vaccuformed/molded. Not that I don't like these, but I guess that now that I've done one, I can appreciate the work that goes in a Robocop scratchbuilt even more :)

And I guess less people are doing Robocop than Ironman because there's a lot less choice as far as pep files floating around for Robocop :)

Well - these have been a long time in coming ... but they are finally here :)
I finally received Halloween pictures from my client wearing the suit that is presented in this thread. I know I'm a bit biased here - but I think the pictures are just phenomenal.

Here are some of my favorites:

Thanks for watching ! :)

Excellent build. Hard to believe that is foam.

The only down side I see is I hate seeing the guys nose. Throws
off the look a bit.

i'm loving this build. I think the world would be a better place if we could force all real cops to walk around dressed like this on halloween :)

you put a lot of work into this, you should be proud of it.

I'm very impressed with the rounded section of the upper arm.

Thanks for the comment Stealth - it means a lot coming from you.
Going in this project, this was the part I knew would give me the most headaches... it actually did, but I'm very proud of how it turned out.

I totally agree with you - real cop dressed as Robocops would be something to see :)

I am proud of my work, but since I registered on the RPF - foam has become way more popular than it was as a medium for costuming and people here are pushing the boundaries every day. It's becoming more and more difficult to make something that looks "decent" as the standards are higher... and that's a very good thing :)
