Robotech Cyclone debut at DragonCon 2007

Any chance of casting up and offering those Cyclone boots? I always just wanted the CV-3 armor without the backpack/full armor on.

Heh.

I'll start on Starscream after:

We get the Rebel pilot helmets pulled.
I get the router table done.
I get all the new accessories for R2 installed.
I get started on the Falcon computer console.
I get my basement cleaned out to make room for the above projects.
We finish the desert skiff for the holiday parades.
I get the foundation footings poured for the 1:1 Falcon.

Glad I got to see this real quick at the Con, freakin amazing!

And this is one impressive list to say the least!!!

A buddy of mine and I saw your costume piled up in parts on the porter cart waiting for an elevator at the Mariott on Friday, and knew instantly what it was. The appearance a big hit with our group. Very cool costume!

The boots are built around drywall stilts, so they aren't practical boots, so to speak.

I do plan on making a smaller set of parts that can be worn as normal boots, as part of the CV3 armor. I also want the CV3 armor as a separate costume.

Another project for my long list.

Here's a pic I got of your suit at DC.

Congrats on the win. We were watching the Masquerade from the hotel room, and when you walked out we all cheared!

We saw you at Mtac, and know it was going to be cool when done, but WOW!

Great work!

We were watching the masquerade from our hotel room and after one particularly bad costume a buddy said "Remind me why we watch this."
When you came on stage, all of our jaws hit the floor. I turned to my buddy and said "THIS is why we watch."

I saw pieces of this being unloaded in the parking lot of the Mariott on Thursday and immediately thought "Cyclone", then I saw the Masquerade from the TV set and when it came out on stage I thought "oh yeah, this guy won". It was such an amazing costume.

On a funny side note, I emailed these pics to a friend of mine who has been a serious Robotech junkie since it first came out. His response was: "A for construction, B- for accuracy."

LMAO, gotta love the diehard fans...and this diehard Cyclone fans costume is where? :thumbsdown

great costume, i think the only thing that detracts from it is seeing your neck. A baclava would help for that. :thumbsup

Mmmmmm.... baclava.

Seriously, though, thanks for the compliment... that helmet was just a temporary thing I threw together for DCon. The real helmet will be accurate to the character. And the new undersuit will hide everything properly.
