Rorschach: The Definitive Thread

I was actually going to get that same mask, but they totally screwed me after like 3 weeks of back and forth, pestering them to mail the bloody thing they just refunded me and didn't respond to any further messages. they even claimed it was already sent out but couldn't provide me with any tracking number lol

My magnoli coat got in and it fits perfectly.

yeah i know what you mean they took agers doing mine too then they said they was ready too ship so i asked for a photo and it was terrible so i asked them to redo it and luckily it turned out alright.

Look at my mask above, I think it looks quite good and cost me $5 for linen and $3 for black fabric paint. You have to be able to dew to create it though. I am going to make another one soon and I will post better photos.

Whoa, that mask looks incredible, what's it made out of, how well is the visibility?

not sure, Ive had this mask since I first did this build in 2010, I did very recently add the undershell which I think greatly improves the overall look. visibility is decent, can see around 60% I think. this cosplay has evolved so much since I made it when I was first like 210 lbs or so.

Cool, I've never actually posted a pic of my suit (currently my profile pic) but I'm pretty happy with it, though I will be doing an over haul on it soon. Wore it most recently in March to a con. Still trying to figure out how I want to do the mask and thermochromic ink.

I've recently become fanatical about the watchmen movie. My Rorschach is currently a throw-together for halloween last year. Grey coat, scarf cut from a torn bedsheet, and an old hat i bought with plans to char it for a Freddy K that never happened. Never found or got around to making a mask, but this recently appeared on my facebook feed. Definitely affordable but i understand there's some debate about the quality of thermochange masks. Anyone have experience with these?

if they're good i've already decided on a V2. Mug also on wishlist.

if you buy the paint and the adhesive, and a mannequin head, you can make all the mask you want out of old t-shirts. I thought watchmen rorschach's seams were over the head, going behind both ears. The thermochromic paint works well, just breath through your nose and mouth to alternate, it makes the black turn invisible. Get a black head covering (balaclava) to go underneath, it makes the mask fit better.

I'm not that keen on these masks to be honest.

I'm a 25inch head and they are so tight I can hardly breathe in them, Second one I purchased after contacting the maker about the first being too tight and they said 2nd would be fine - yet I love dressing in the outfit - but that mask is the worse one I have :(

wonder if we will be seeing new verions of the outfit with the new tv series?

Does any one know if he had a different colour trench coat in the comic?

here is me with my take on the Rorschach outfit. One of my favourite costumes to date too.

I could do with a chaperone at conventions though because I can see diddly squat "ZERO" through the mask .lol...Rorscach2016.png
