Round2 Producing a 1/350 Star Trek TMP K'Tinga

Between the 2 versions I've seen R2's feet (side flood lights on sides of hanger TMP), Vaders X-1 TIE engine (neck, both), X-Wing engine (inset wing detail, Q1) and X-Wing blaster parts (inset detail on top of warp nacelle, Q1).

There's probably more.

Here's a side by side look at the engine nacelles:

Greg in Japan thinks he has found an error in the instructions:

Check it out yourself and he might have saved you a lot of heartache.

LOL! C'mon, it's not *that* bad. ;)

For years I resisted getting on there, but now I find it to be pretty helpful. Lots of good groups and generally friendly interaction. It seems as if the forums have really declined in popularity and many people are hanging out on social media now.

I don't do Facebook any more either. I could give a long list of reasons why, but suffice it to say I think Facebook has done more to destroy friendships and families in the last decade than it has to enhance them. IMHO. So if there are people who choose to be on the FB group who could pass along any good information or tips from there, this grumpy old man would appreciate it.

It's not like there aren't forums (ahem) that are open to lurking, where this information could be posted.

To say that there are quite a few errors and not bother to post them here, or any other open forum, is a bit uncool.

Really? So you want me to go through the FB group, read all their posts (and there are quite a few), compile and catalog the data and post it for you here? Sorry, I'm a bit too busy right now to do all that. You'll need to do your own research. At least I pointed you to a place where more info can be found.

I'm glad you did have time to let your true colors show through.

Though not directed at me, I for one am not asking anyone to do my research for me. But it would be a courtesy if we could all share information with each other when it's possible. Of course it's voluntary. I'm appreciative of anything that gets passed along.

One thing that has come up on the Hobby Link boards is that there tends to be an ever so slight warping of the neck. This leaves the command pod dipping slightly on the port side. It can even be seen on the box picture, if you look closely.

You BOTH are stunningly handsome, equally talented, and ultra cool...

There...!

Can we get back to the model now? ;)

(By the way, I am hetero to a fault, despite my flowery compliments - now; back to nerdy plastic models...)

Who has a list of the photo-etched sets used for the studio Kronos One (Quonos 1...?) and are these sets available in half the scale as those used on the Magicam model...?

From at least one on-line iteration of the script:

"Kronos One"

"GORKON (on viewscreen): This is Kronos One. I am Chancellor Gorkon."

Was the photo-etch ILM used for Q1 from donor kits? I always assumed it was custom made. Finding donor etch at 1/2 studio scale would be a nightmare, if it were even possible.

I had a copy of the STVI script back when the movie came out. It was spelled "Kronos" in the script. I remember that specifically.
