I'd say that you've nailed it bud. I've spent years collecting replicas as per the movies and have very recently ordered a plain helmet myself to make into a custom one as I'm finally getting around to putting a costume together. Trying to figure out my own custom design is proving harder than I thought it would be lol.

Nice little early Christmas present- the Angus McInnes Y wing from RS (still counts as a X wing in my book!).

Worth the wait!
I mentioned about their Y wing helmets and how RS every tiny detail from the screen used version. Here (if you can make it out from my crappy photos), they’ve replicated the remains of the shape of the rebel symbol which was presumably left from painting over another helmet or having it’s decal removed.

I believe they’ll be finishing the run of 100 next year, so you could get your name down for one.
They probably announced it in one of their Youtube videos (which I likely missed).

Whoa - wait a minute? When was this officially announced? I' knew this was in the works but I never saw it officially unveiled and open for orders. How did I miss this?!

Rob was on a YouTube video (not the RS stream), saying they had 25 (actually 21 in the end), ready to go, with the remaining run being completed next year.
I believe (don’t quote me on this) they’d started the run at the start of 2020 then COVID came along.
