How about Al Pacino as Serpico?

Nice work Paul. Where did you get the pic of Al Pacino, i've been searching for something similar for ages.
I think the only change i'd make is to put it on the old yellow card. BUT for the life of me there's something at the back of my mind which says that Frank Serpico's actual card was one of these :confused

It'd be great to see that documentary on him again. As I said there's a shot of Serpico's actual card on there.

Nice shot of the Prince of the City card as well :) Here's one I did a while back with the late, great Jerry Orbach.

Great posts everybody, especially Kenny's post of Jerry Orbach. He's one of my favorite actors.....sorry he's gone.

Hey Kenny,
How about trying to use the pic on my card on your Orbach card, see if that works out better. I was basing the one I put together on a standard prop for the movie... you never really get a clear look at Pacino's, it looks white on screen but then if your talking about the yellow card, do you mean the real Serpico and his issued card, in which case I'd guess he had the yellow style card, something along these lines?

Nice work Paul, first class :thumbsup

If I remember correctly it was his last issue card that was featured on the documentary, so he was all hairy like Al in the film :lol
I think it was the type like you did with Al Pacino with the "IDENTIFICATION CARD" bit with lines above & below. But I don't remember for sure.

We did a similar style set for Chief Brody from JAWS. Love to see guys out there coming up with new stuff in the "old time" look!

Great shot Marc, i'll have to rework my card a little.

That Brody card is stunning.

I was watching an online video of the real Frank Serpico talking about the film. Apparently until then he hadn't even seen it all the way through.
He talks about getting his Detective shield. Unlike in the film it was actually just given to him over a desk along with his Medal of Honor. No ceremony or anything.

kenny, the book on the story of Frank Serpico it's very nice, with détail and more....

Here's my final version taking into account the extra details visible on Caplan's latest pic.

I bought the Serpico biography, and it shows his genuine ID card. Note it's been stamp punched RETIRED.
