Show your Dr. Who props!

Re: Show your Dr. Who props!

You're the man! My girl is a huge Doctor Who fan as well and thought an engagement is a ways off, this is great inspiration! I was thinking a TARDIS ring box butt hat's been done already. Great original idea, and having Amy's ring as the prob is a superb touch. Well done, sir!

Re: Show your Dr. Who props!

Looks great! One question, how will you deal with her wanting to wear it when you have it displayed in your collection? ;)

This is the first of 2 of Four's scarves I've knitted.

The third and latest one is out of real wool.

I've got Ten's coat and sonic. And River's sonic. I found River's All Saints Zeeda dress -- but it's in black. Not the right color, but neither am I. (I'm Asian). :p

I'm working on River's blaster.

They used some real items to double up as alien tech. The Etheric Beam Locator was a Varian Klystron VA220 microwave valve. River Song's blaster was a converted Nerf gun. The 7th Dr's bug coin was a converted Zoids Saicurtis wind-up model.

It makes sense using some off the shelf items, as it is cheaper than building from scratch.

Awesome! I'm working on one myself. What did you use for the ball joints on the arms? I'm trying to find something that's cast/molded black so that paint won't wear off.

They are made from Magic 8 Balls, likewise the back of the eye :)

A couple of recent acquisitions...

A replica TARDIS De-Mat circuit (from Mooncrest Models) and a 4th Dr brooch (courtesy of Bob Mitsch's recent group run).

Speaking of Mooncrest Models, about a year ago, I bought some of his 7th Dr TARDIS keys. A few weeks ago, I bought a couple of his 3rd / 4th Dr keys...

A topman dogtooth pattern skinny chinos, not sure about some "theories" about white or silver button, ook a look at the episodes,I think there are at least 3 topman trousers during season 5

The jacket,quite good tweed,good lengh,shoulders and sleeves,good pockets.
I may have to reduce the chest and waist, but after looking hundreds of jackets, not sur I will have to do modifications, because I ALWAYS see same measurment ratio...

The boots,size 10 UK,I am 9,but it's so difficult to find them,even a little bit too big...

And the mark 7 universal remote:

Seems it's the best available version for the moment.
I think I will machine all the parts myself, using it as a model.
then,I will drop all electronics inside "my" hilt.
I am not sure about the effects on the base of the claws, kind of crossed lines.
Seems they are not on all versons, don't know.
I found screenshot or picture, and seems the metal is sometimes plain, sometimes with crossed lines.
