Sliders Timer Electronics

Ok, a few questions:

This video clip, the Timer on the right, is it the real thing we are going to try emulate?

Or should I follow this one?

Also, I found this:

Is this the actual dimension of the board?

The 2nd one is mine! I did these about 12 years ago. Made 25 Timers. If you want a kit or finished timer ready for electronics! LMK!

FYI I dug out Thermal's shell about 2 weeks ago and started working on the electronics again, as I have said it will happen it's just a matter of time as I don't have the time to devote to it right now, although I have been trying... I ran into a few setbacks early on that discouraged me, but I believe I have those worked out now...

Here are a few clips I was able to gather via the DVDs. I scanned through a few episodes quickly (including the last time the Mallory Timer is used in s3e14 "Slide Like An Egyptian"); I'm sure I missed some really good shots so, if anyone wants to point out where they are, I'll create a few more clips. I also tried posting the full resolution MP4 files here but RPF report an "Invalid file format" (no video allowed) so the links below are the best I can do for now. Anyhow, check 'em out:

I am not Thermal. But I know he doesn't have electronics anymore. That run was a long time ago 8 or 10 years. He does have a newer mold of the correct phone. The kit has a resin phone, the black box with knob and stickers. Everything to make a static timer. I know I have one of his kits.

Could you post pictures of yours? :)

Here are pics of one of thermals pieces I picked up awhile ago, I added a mash up electronics in it while waiting for some prof. one's, I highly recommend one, beautiful timers!

That's all you man, all I did was some tricky low budget wiring, your kit is top notch, I highly recommend!

I did that diagram of the board measurements. Still got the PSD file somewhere.

Hey thought I would share this with everybody. I have been doing research on the Timer for a long time and I have been trynig to find the keypad that was used on the flip portion of the phone. The one 4x3 section is well known as there are many pictures. But in "Gillian of the Spirits" right after the Prof says there is something wrong with the timer, he opens it and there is a different keypad on the Timer. I have realized that the keypad they used was part of a larger keyboard. I have attached a picture of what the keypad would probally look like, although I extrapolated some of the keys. I am hoping someone here recognizes it :)

this is the bare board, now to deliver it to my buddy, the electronics genius. He tells me that he can replicate all the functions ...dont worry, all info will be shared with all. Tim

Just a minor thing but doesn't the "days" display at the top of the original timer have three digits not two? Some screenshots that I have seen show 3 digits even though they are not lit up. I imagine he'd have had to allow for a number of days of a year or more. After 999 days 23 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds I'd ithink though that accuracy wouldn't matter much anymore if one had been stuck in a parallel world for nearly 3 years.

This would be good news for sure. If you can come up with some electronics as a kit (soldering I'm fine with but MCUs are not my forte) it would be great. I have been holding off most of my work on this timer as the elctronics might affect my case a bit (using a real T-A-C Ultra Lite). I also haven't found the correct knob for the top section.
