So, I'm speaking with a local foundry about doing a small run of Star Lord buckles in aluminum. Buckles would either have a belt loop and notch cast in on the back or (if they can't cast the loop) it'll have screw holes for mounting other belt hardware. The cost would be $150-200 per buckle. This would also be a one-time run so please chime in here asap if you are committed to getting one. I want to get it done before Xmas and there is a 3-week turnaround time after I order the buckles from the foundry, at which time I will be collecting a deposit. I'll collect interest for a week or so.
This is a prototype test print of the master (Note that it's straight off the printer and has NOT yet been cleaned up. I might be redoing the "surface pitting".):
(The buckle has the curvature and tapered thickness of the original, since I got some good top-angle shots of it at the FIDM last spring.)
