I think lighting makes it extremely hard to tell, but the original jackets' fabric's different texture, sheen, and dye cause the fabric to appear darker than the rest of the leather in most photos (and on screen in the show) whether there is very much difference in reality or not.
To me the deltas and the fabric both look like a dark charcoal (but the deltas sometimes catch the light and make them appear lighter than the fabric).
